  1. Crystal Block Trade. We would like to get crystal blocks for both the Sovereign of the Seas (our first cruise) and the Voyager of the Seas (our 2nd cruise). I have three duplicate crystal blocks (Freedom, Grandeur, and Jewel). I would trade any 2 of them for either a Sovereign or Voyager crystal block. If interested in this “2 for 1” trade, send an e-mail to (delitchfield at AOL dot com)
  2. Currently on the Grandeur. The Suite Concierge is Dudley Jean. The Diamond Concierge is Ilona Tsyhaniuk.
  3. Yes. Visit the Loyalty Ambassador early in the cruise to confirm you are on the milestone list.
  4. Thanks WOLFCATHORSE for preparing and keeping the list of Captains current. We find your posts most helpful.
  5. Does the Port of Baltimore (Grandeur) use this procedure?
  6. Call RCCI customer support at 800-256-6649, as Bob recommended. Over the years, I have had charges removed from my bill (mostly from the Mini-bar refrigerator) by calling this number.
  7. Glad to hear that Coco Cay did not suffer major damage because of the hurricane.
  8. Agree with Biker19. And in addition, any Bonus Amenities for D+ and P (i.e., 3 bottles of wine when you reach 525 cruise points) will be delivered to your initial cabin. On one of our upgrades, we finally got our wine after visiting the LA.
  9. Congratulations on the Grand Suite upgrade. And Happy 29th Anniversary. Have a great cruise.
  10. Congratulations on the upgrade. And Happy Anniversary.
  11. We do the same thing. Book on the ship to get the OBC, monitor price after making the reservation (received numerous price reductions), and then transfer the reservation to a TA for their additional perks (pay gratuities and additional OBC).
  12. The Grandeur is a great ship. We have had numerous cruises on her, and every cruise was outstanding. The smallness of the ship is a definite advantage. Staff are most friendly.
  13. Gregory Maxwell from Australia, a name from the past. Believe he left RCCL around 2001. Remember meeting him during one of our early cruises. He was a standout CD (especially liked his formal kilt).
  14. Twice on the same cruise? Did they get a refund on one of upgraded rooms?
  15. True, there is no cost to bid. But if RCCL accepts your bid (which could be anytime after making it) you are committed and your credit card will immediately be charged for your bid amount.
  16. Great Master. He will be truly missed. RIP Captain Aage Lindstad.
  17. Crystal Block Trade. I will do a 2 for 1 trade. Sure would like to get a Sovereign of the Seas Crystal Block, as our first cruise many many years ago was on the Sovereign. I have three duplicate crystal blocks (Freedom, Grandeur, and Jewel). I would trade any 2 of them for a Sovereign crystal block. If interested in this “2 for 1” trade, send an e-mail to (delitchfield at AOL dot com).
  18. No. I have never sold anything on E-Bay. My goal is to trade one of my duplicate blocks for another block on a cruise ship that I have previously sailed on.
  19. Agree. Fabio was on the Freedom in January. He was great and very helpful.
