    not sure yet!
  1. If it is really important to have the connecting cabins just book a 4th person and have them be a no show. It will cost an additional fare but you will get what you want. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  2. Your welcome, have a great cruise. Keep in mind that your situation may seem odd to some but I can assure you it is not! The check in staff at the port see this stuff hundreds of times every day. If they were denying boarding, you would here the horror stories all of the time. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  3. This has been a hot topic for years. I can tell you from first hand experience that we have never been asked for a letter. We have cruised with my stepson for 10 years from several different ports and never been asked for it. We have cruised with 3 of his friends on multiple cruises, all minors, and never been asked for it. I will say we have always gotten it just to be safe, just never needed it. The document carnival issues says it is recommended. They would have a tough time denying you boarding on that statement and the fact that you will be bringing the documents you listed. You will not come into contact with any government official until you are in another country. We have been to Cozumel no fewer than 20 times and never had an issue. We also had a foreign exchange student from Finland go with us one year and had no issues. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  4. I was just asking a question. You are the one who used the phrase entitled jerk, not sure what advise you expect when you use a comment like that. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  5. Just curious, how did you see them go to their cabin early, and how did you know they were not diamond or platinum? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  6. I agree, parking at the terminal is worth every penny. I can not comment on the off site lots because we have parked at the terminal several times and had it worked so well we would never need to try any other option. I have heard people complain about getting a shuttle at the off site places. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  7. I agree with most people here that the cruise director does not usually make that big a difference. That said, after watching many bad shows and mediocre singers, it was great having Chris Williams on our last Dream cruise. He has his own production show and it is really good. 8. The only time we ever booked a balcony we were put right below the workout gym. We will never book a guarantee again. You may get lucky, but you may get unlucky! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  9. Thank you all for the replies! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  10. I will be staying in a room with a friend. I have an on board credit applied to the room for carnival stock. We will each have our own expense account tied to our credit cards. I booked the cruise and paid with my card and he just paid me cash. Will the on board credit apply to my account, his or will they split it? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  11. This is an interesting question. Yes you turn the next level if you reach it during your trip, however, is the last day counted? If a 7 day cruise goes Saturday to Saturday, does the last Saturday count as a day as that would be 8 days? Anyone had that happen? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  12. I can't comment on this age group but my son was allowed to go to club O2 instead of circle c one year when he had a friend with him that age. He was only a couple months too young and he went to talk to the counselor and she allowed him in. At that younger age it could be an issue due to the supervision will have different needs for those groups. You will not know for sure until you are on board and you go to ask. 13. We have cruised Carnival with my stepson, different last name, since he was 9. We always get a notarized letter from his father. We have never been asked for it. We have also cruised with some of his friends and never been asked for a letter for them either. We just typed a generic letter with the date and where we were going and had it signed. Someone will come on here and tell you it is required and they will even tell you they know someone or saw someone who was denied boarding without it. Maybe, I doubt it, we just got them because it was easy to do. If it were an issue to get I would go and not worry about it. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  14. I'm pretty sure they added new cabins on deck 6. Stay away from these if you plan to sleep at night! They reduced the main theatre to 2 floors and added cabins above. This is part of the reason this ship is so crowded! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  15. Pretty much everything said here is correct. All standard balconies can be opened. The reason they can open us to allow the crew to open them to clean one long row. The cabins that have an internal connecting door can not open the balcony divider because it will block one of the doors going to the balcony. The reason is the internal door is on the side opposite the bed, therefore the balcony door is also on the side, the rooms are opposite of each other. When the divider on those rooms swing open they block off one door which is not allowed. The next set of rooms will have the divider open and block one window, which is ok.
