You may need to wait a minute or two for a van taxi to come to the front of the line.  5 plus bags may even need to split into two regular cabs (especially if any in your group pack like my wife).

2 taxis is what I’d like to avoid since we can’t be separated.  Thanks for the info.

Yes….. And the outward driver will be pleased to be booked for a timed return.

Don’t forget to book one’s cave experience on line and in advance, as spaces are limited.

Thanks for the help!  I did go to the website and the site itself has grown so much since we went there many years ago.  When we went, the only thing to see and do was the tram through the cave.  That’s all we want to do.

  3. We were on Harmony 2 weeks ago and had a fabulous stateroom attendant.  We picked early and he did a great job.  He also came in every evening to replace the ice in our wine bucket and drop off our cruise compasses for the next day. Hopefully this is the norm and not just luck.  We’re in a JS in 3 weeks so we’ll still get twice daily service on our b2b cruises so my luck won’t be tested until Oct.

B2B cruisers have a lunch in there. I've seen Key holders meet another side of Mdr for lunch, though it might not always be there. There are people who eat in there not general pax that I've seen.

Do a b2b and you will be invited.

Yup. I do have a b2b coming up and hope we’re given a lunch although I’ve been on a few where we got nothing.

I should have been more specific.  I was referring to those boarding that day.

Yes that is an option but it would ruin our cruise if we got stranded with early sitting. That said we can do Anytime Dining but need to pay tips up front in British Pounds, I had hoped to pay the auto grats with dollars that I have left over from many previous holidays. Also I had a very bad experience on last cruise of Anytime dining (different cruise line where you had to join a virtual queue each night).

Why can’t you pay your gratuities with USD?   Granted, I’m from the US but it doesn’t make sense since everything on board is based on USD.

  6. We’re taking our 4 year old grandson on a cruise and want to get an idea of places we can go on a private tour.  We’re doing beaches on 2 other stops so we’re interested in going to see things without beaches,  Any ideas?

  7. I’m booked on Anthem of the Seas to the fiords in early Sept and have some questions.  We have nothing booked in Stavanger and Haugesund.  Are there locals at the pier that will arrange a private tour when you get off the ship? I use a cane so my walking is limited.  If we take a cab at any port, will they all take credit cards?  Since we already have to bring Pounds and Euro, I’d like to avoid bringing another currency,

  8. Anthem is my favorite ships and I’ve been on all but 3 of Royal ships.  I absolutely love We Will Rock You and Spectras Cabaret.  I also love the ship and its layout.  I’ve sailed on Anthem 4 times and will do b2b on her again in August.

I'm happy with most of Royal ships but am not a big fan of Vision class.
