  1. Thanks AZ Wildcat, and come to think of it, the porters have a manifest and hopefully our names will reflect the express designation. Early delivery is important because it takes me forever to hang and put away everything I cram in my 30" luggage - and I always end up having to request a bunch of extra hangers!!
  2. One of the perks of Premium Access is expedited luggage delivery to your stateroom. Our luggage tags were assigned and ready to be printed; then we purchased Premium Access. I was expecting the tags to automatically change and reflect the new status. Didn't happen. I called Celebrity and was told the tags were already issued. Will I be able to receive the express luggage tags at the pier - Port Everglades. After all, this is one of the perks we paid for. Thanks!
  3. We were on Reflection in April, 2023 in Aqua Class so Persian Garden was included. I loved it! Multiple choices - dry and steam rooms - from aroma therapy to Hammam. You might want to wear a baseball cap in the Hamman because some water droplets fall from the ceiling. There's also a dry sauna located in the Ladies locker room and probably the same for Gents. I like going from dry or steam heat to a cool shower located just outside the heated rooms. Come any time within operating hours, go to the checkin desk. They will hold your card until you are done. If I remember correctly, the lockers have instructions for setting the code.
  4. We were on this ship almost a year ago. Everything was clean - except for the steam and sauna rooms! We had wanted to buy the spa package for the whole cruise, that is until we checked out these specific rooms on embarkation day. Awful! Everything had needed torn out and redone and retiled long before we arrived. The rooms smelled (one person in our group said like dirty socks) and water damaged ceilings evident. The ceilings needed to be tiled, not painted plaster. I hope this is no longer the case!
  5. Thanks everyone! I'll watch for openings on deck 8 and above. I didn't think to originally post another question about the soot that falls on the back balconies - that would actually be a worse problem than the noise for me (if it's pretty constant) so if anyone has experienced that I'd most definitely appreciate hearing about it. Thanks again!!
  6. Just booked the last available SV stateroom on the Ascent. Stateroom 7326. Enen is just below. Has anyone stayed in one of these deck 7 aft-facing cabins on the Ascent? I didn't realize Eden was a nightclub till after booking. I'm a light sleeper and am wondering if my white noise machine will drown out Eden noise. Also, when does Eden close for the night? Thanks!
  7. Hey, Pickels! Yes, we had the small room all the way in the back on the left of deck 3 MDR on the Equinox and loved the location! More intimate and so much less noisy! That is interesting that you chose MDR over Luminae. I checked out their posted menu almost nightly on the equinox and there was always something special like filet mignon, etc. that was more appealing to me - but of course, to each his own. 🙂
  8. Thank you :)...for our booking, I did the math and we are ahead with the following being included: gratuities, drink package, spa pass for the week, blu or anytime dining in MDR, and WiFi. I do hope the steam and sauna rooms are nice because we were interested in purchasing the pass for the entire cruise when we were on the Equinox but ended up not purchasing because those rooms needed a major refurbishment a long time ago! They both had an odor (someone in our party mentioned smelly socks) and the steam room didn't have the ceramic tiles on the ceiling, just plaster, and it was obvious there was water intrusion.
  9. Thank you all so very much! Blu sounds like a definite winner. And thanks, Nado44, you are probably right about choosing Beyond balcony over Aqua Class on Reflection. However, we just cruised about 5 or 6 weeks ago on Equinox and I'm pinching pennies lol. Everything that is important is included. Plus, I I like the itinerary on Reflection better. We really enjoyed ourselves on the Equinox so this AC experience on Reflection should be good.
  10. Is dining in Blu a step up from MDR on the Reflection? I read in a review that the food is a disappointment and has changed in negative ways since covid. The reviewer also stated that other cabin classes now can dine in Blu so it can sometimes difficult to get a a table right away. Is this true - what other classes are now dining in Blu? (Trying to decide between Reflection and Beyond - Reflection Blu much more affordable!) Thanks!
  11. Our X booking agent was disingenuous (or uninformed) about more than 1 thing!
  12. S. We'll get there around noon and hopefully we won't have to wait more than 1 hour. Thank you.
  13. We booked last minute and was surprised at our 2pm boarding time in Ft. Lauderdale. The ship leaves at 4! The latest we have ever arrived is 1pm and the place was practically empty - everyone was aboard. We are Concierge Class and have a CC lunch in the main dining room - am thinking we will miss this with our late boarding. And we are supposed to have priority boarding...? I've tried to call (2 different occasions) the X agent who booked us on and left messages but never heard back from her. Called the main number to inquire, but no help ...told me the said the CC lunch isn't on embarkation day?? Does anyone have any experience with being assigned a late check-in time but arrived earlier? I'm hoping that if we arrive around 12:30 and no lines at that time that they will let us check in? Thanks in advance!!
  14. Hmmm. I've been on about 30 cruises and traveled the world working for a major airline. I know a thing or two. Yes, things have changed, and excuse me but how was I to get into X's offerings for this particular cruise before booking? I was busy choosing a cruise that was acceptable to everyone in our party. And I booked yesterday so I can still cancel.
  15. I didn't cancel yet...when I called X last night to inquire about the water, she searched but could not find the answer but she believed there was one to be found. That's when I decided to post about it. Thanks, you guys, always to the rescue. We can buy the big bottles in a grocery store and schlep on board...wine, too. Then, when in port, replenish water. Greece. Flights will be no cost and I've accumulated almost 1,000,000 hotel points. Food and housing is very reasonably priced - some housing and hotels surprisingly inexpensive.
  16. Have cruised a lot over many years. After not cruising for at least 3 or so years, today we booked a 9-day cruise for this month on Equinox. I was happy with what we paid until I went into my reservation. I am astounded by the exorbitant package pricing! I absolutely hate getting gouged. Yes, make a profit but don't take advantage of me. High pricing for specialty restaurants (but hey, aren't I saving them $$ by not eating dinner in the buffet or MDR - shouldn't I get a bit of a break for food I already paid for?). Booze pkgs at $80 and $100 -- PER DAY. I'm shocked and dismayed. And I am not willing to pay $30 a day for a non-alcoholic drink package just because I want to drink water and maybe a latte. I'm not interested in drinking sodas or fresh juices or virgin cocktails. We've purchased water cases in the past on other lines and expected we could do the same on X. I can't drink tap water, at least not on the older ships as it upsets my stomach and esophagus. I will probably cancel my reservation when my X agent gets in at 11am and save my $$ for land vacation this spring using accrued flight and hotel points. So disappointed because I spent so much time choosing a cruise. Well, on the other hand, at least I'm saving money.
