  6. Has anyone used and recommend an Arrival Airport Concierge Service? We are arriving at 5am in Oct 28 and I am thinking after such a long journey, such a service might be a good idea. Thanks! charlotte
  7. We were in Capetown in December of 2017 and used www.ilios.co.za. They will customize for you. We did Table Mountain (couldn't get to the top due to crowds) lots of the other natural sites, The Government gardens and Museum and they dropped us off at the airport. We really enjoyed the tour and I would recommend them. Charlotte
  8. I will always remember on one cruise our last port was an overnight in Istanbul. We arranged to leave for the airport at 5am on the second morning and Dottie was there with a bright smile to wish us well and say goodbye! It was 3 hours before normal/formal disembarkation. Definitely left a lasting fond memory with me.
  9. Concerning the Burj Al Arab, I visited it 4 years ago while visiting my Nephew and family. It is spectacular! At the time the only way you were allowed on the driveway up to the hotel is if you had a confirmed reservation for a room or in a restaurant/high tea. They had a guard post and traffic arm at the street entrance to the driveway up to the hotel. They may have decide to offer tickets to sightsee, but I suspect advanced purchase is required. Charlotte
  10. On Sirena in Nov we docked at Americana. O provided a shuttle to Old Town.
  11. Yes. It applies to anything purchased while in Brazilian waters.
  12. We were on the same cruise with Flatbush. Yes, O accepts the e-visas. Much better than the old way, but the online submission of photos was very challenging on the Brazillian visa site, so Start the process with plenty of time. Also, once the ship enters Brazillian waters, everything purchased has a 25% VAT levied on it. This includes Wine. So we made sure to purchase our wine before we got to the Amazon. Charlotte

  14. You can go to the Oceania website and email guest Services with the request and info. That is what I did and they passed it on to the Concierge on the Ship. It is good to do as the Concierge is very busy on Embarkation Day.
  15. When I organized the M&G on embarkation day, the time was 5:30 or 6 (I can’t remember). On the roll call we basically said immediately after muster. Some folks were there quickly and others joined a bit later. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
