  1. I was issued a FCC for my Transatlantic that was cancelled May 2020 and that was confirmed via email to me and my TA. The policy is you must use it or lose it before the expiration date. I my case that is June 30th 2022. My confirmation email also states that re-booking should be handled by Crystal reservations since the TA will not be getting their commission for that. I suppose it could be that they were paid when they booked the cruise in the first place but you should see if your TA is willing to take it on. Just so happens my TA is retiring so I called Crystal reservations and they helped me book another cruise and added $250 pp on board credit. The agent was fantastic!
  2. Same sex couples are made to feel very welcome on Crystal. I am part of such a couple and never felt uncomfortable. They also offer space for GLBTQ+ cocktail parties and these are well attended. So sail on!
  3. I predict that after your first Crystal cruise you will never want to go with Princess again. Crystal Symphony & Serenity have under 1,000 passengers and the service is impeccable. The staff will bend over backwards for passengers. I've cruise with HAL, Princess-they don't hold a candle. And Crystal has wonder river cruises as well. Happy sailing!
  4. Don't give up on Crystal They are still the best in the luxury category. Windstar & Cunard are great, too. Crystal has superior customer service & they are making some attractive offers for repeat customers who book in the future. They will require passengers to be fully vaccinated and will probably expect the same for crew.
  5. Finally received full refund for Crystal air a little over a year from the date Crystal canceled our cruise. According to my TA Crystal is trying to go through the queue in order of cancellations and expect to post refunds about 1 year after cancel date. So those of you who are still waiting-hang in.
  6. Crystal canceled our Aug. 30th, 2020 cruise on May 20th. We are still waiting for our refund of Crystal Air. We received an email update today from Guest Relations informing us that we are in the refund queue. Based upon what others are saying it seems we are getting close to seeing some money from them.
  7. My TA spoke to Crystal rep about a week ago and was informed that our refund for our Crystal Business class Air has morphed into what they call a CREDIT which can be used for a future cruise (for the air or just the cruise fare). So we have given up on getting a refund which is ok since we plan to cruise with Crystal again preferring ships with under 1000 passengers who offer very good service on board. So, for those of you still waiting for a refund-do not hold your breath.
  8. PENDING is not good enough for me! Here is what I did in February after waiting 6 months past the 90 day period when my refund should have been processed. Crystal cancelled our cruise in May 2020. Our TA sent numerous emails and even wrote one to Crystal CEO, Jack Anderson. I opened a dispute with Capital One Visa on 1/29/2021 then I sent a letter with all documentation (TA emails, phone calls and Crystal's responses) to Jack Anderson at the Crystal corporate office. That package was picked up 2/01/2021 and signed for by Jessica Hoppe, general counsel for Crystal Cruises. So far, I have had no response. However, Capitol One Visa has issued an "adjustment" for the full amount owed to us.They requested all documentation about the refund including the letter of cancellation. I assume they will proceed with their investigation and report back to us at some point. Here is the corporate address for Crystal: 1501 Biscayne Blvd., Suite 500, Miami, FL 33132 Phone: 786-971-1000 Jack Anderson is still CEO Jessica Hoppe email: jhoppe@crystalcruises.com I plan on emailing Ms Hoppe even though Visa is looking into this. That is because I am so enraged about the way Crystal has handled this! They are known for their superior customer service but you would never know it from the way they have treated all of us who are still waiting for refunds promised in a timely manner. I urge all of you who are told that your refund is pending to bug the hell out of Crystal. We need to let them know that they need to do a better job. Good luck!
  9. Sail date was August 30th, 2020 for 13 day Transatlantic. Crystal canceled May 20th, 2020. Promised full refund for Crystal Air=$7,390 but got voucher for cost of cruise but still no refund.
  10. Has anyone taken the excursion: Cacao & Women's Chocolate Cooperative? We will be on Zuiderdam 1/18-2/1
  11. Many thanks. Any evidence of cabin refurbishment? Have a great cruise.
  12. Would appreciate some thoughts about verandah cabins and overall services. Saw post about long wait to embark and no AC in 20 cabins. I expect a lot better service from HAL. Seems they may have rushed the dry dock refurb to avoid loss of income.
