  1. Wedding parties always board ahead of Diamond/Platinum and FFTS. I'm sure the planner will let you know what time that'll be. Have a great cruise.
  2. Thank you for supporting a family in need Carnival. My condolences to you and your family.
  3. Down loaded HUB before cruising. Opened app once on board, paid the $5 for the week. Great tool for keeping in touch especially with a large group. Nice to have your folio available to monitor and the fun times to know what's happening on board. Will be using again next month.
  4. When we did the Behind the Scenes Tour, this is what we were told regarding fountain systems. Take up too much space and cost prohibitive. Cans are crushed, formed into large blocks and removed from the ship for recycling. There's a whole area dedicated for recycling off the galley.
  5. I would agree with other posters. While security is pretty good at the airport, there are many other reasons why you might be delayed with debarkation. Fog can be an issue at that time of year. We were delayed a few hours in January a couple of years back. Just don't know..... Hope you can get that herd together and have an awesome cruise.
  6. Definitely get on the wait list for YTD. We did and wound up getting it. Found out when we boarded. Other times, we've gone to the Maitre 'd to make out requests. Good luck and have a great cruise.
  7. Love the Paradise. Sailing on her in October! I think it might be our 8th on her too!
  8. I have always emailed a PDF of my information. Never once had Carnival ask me to snail mail or fax.
  9. Having sailed Carnival ships in the Fantasy, Spirt, conquest and Dream classes, the Sunshine was my least favorite. I agree with many of the posted comments. Biggest disappointments were with the theater and comedy club. Have no desire to sail her again nor the Sunrise or Radiance.
  10. Amazing videos! Thank you so much for sharing your family with us!
  11. Sailed Horizon in January. Deck 6 midship balcony. Close to mid bank of elevators, near everything. Enjoyed every quiet moment on the balcony when needed. Morning coffee, evening cocktail. We were above Ocean Plaza but far enough that we didn't hear the band late night. That was my only concern when booking. If you go to criusedeckplans.com, you'll see what I mean. Have a great cruise.
  12. Hi, I'm not sure about a shower in or near Serenity deck. Debark is rather painless. Self assist first, priority folks then by deck. The last few cruises have been rather smooth. We no longer do self-assist since we're in no rush to leave. Last time self assist started around 7:30 am We've done the 5 day several times and have enjoyed all. Different excursions each time. The only thing we had to watch for was show times vs dinner time. Gets a little dicey if you have late seating. We enjoy the smaller ships plus it's close to home. Nice getaway on the cheap. Have a great cruise. :)
  13. Nassau for me. We try to avoid this when researching itineraries. When unavoidable, we stay on board.
  14. Thank you for a fantastic review! Truly enjoyed and felt I was on the "ship" with you and your family. I would agree with your assessment of the Liquid Lounge having sailed on the Sunshine. We too had difficulty finding the Comedy club. Your review would make me shy away from booking on the Sunrise for the same issues. Glad you enjoyed your time in NYC too. Great city! Thank you again. Visiting Scotland is on my bucket list! My roots can be traced to Glasgow and plan on visiting some day.
  15. Hit the atrium bar for the first drink of the cruise to celebrate! Head to the cabin to drop off bags (Platinum) then up to Lido for lunch and meet up with the rest of our cruising family.
