  1. It’s interesting that they’re saying one of the reasons is that you need to be able to hear all public safety announcements on the ship well many people have noise canceling headphones that can actually block out those announcements. I use his headphones on the cruise when the crew conduct safety drills as I can’t handle the sound of the alarm carnivals are very high-pitched.

  2. The PVSA is what prevents one way sailings from being offered from Seattle. Quantum Class has the 270 lounge at the back of the ship and they also have the North Star observation pod. Only issue is “The Bridge” in Vancouver .  That can be solved with the new berth they are talking about that will accommodate ships that can’t fit under it.

  3. Newer machines may have the chute that catches money for the house.  Older machines ( branded grand casino and six sided ) don’t have this feature and still drop coins like crazy.. radiance class has this kind of machine.  Once I had a bartender get annoyed with me for collecting quarters out of it. I watched from a distance the next day and found that he was taking them. He managed to stay in the casino bar for more than one cruise. (they usually rotate the bartenders around to different bars from Cruise to cruise .)

  4. Just on Wonder. And had RED the night club experience They will have it right after Crazy Quest. If you go to both they will start the music and lights right after quest and  then stop it a min later and clear the venue and then let people back in after scanning seapass for age verification.  Whole process took 10 min .  They could have saved the hassle by scanning the seapass for quest as they are both 18 and above

  5. The onboard activities will be available.  When the ship is in its second port of call they may have a crew drill. Some crew will have to attend to it and if you are out on deck the alarms are the loudest I heard ( like 10 sports airhorns going off all at once).  Best part of port days, however, is that there might not be a much of a line for activities like the slides.

  6. Mariner along with the other voyager class and the freedom class ships has about 10 small grey horns that sound like sport air horns scattered around the ship on the upper decks.  They only sound when the emergency alarms sound.  There is a switch on the bridge that allows for these horns to be turned off or the main ships horn to be sounded aswell.  Not all ships with them use them . The pa tones bells and buzzers thru out the ship will sound regardless if the horns are on or not
