I love your shirts and sign. So much fun, and I can't wait for the cruise part coming up ❤️

The sign took some convincing on my part to get it approved by Susan. She was like hell no at first! We came to a compromise, the shirt may have been part of the compromise to get the sign. I just knew it was my only opportunity to be that tongue in cheek!

Hey, you have to admit I am moving right along. I am working on it every chance I can, since I know I have a back-to-back coming up soon!

So, when you sit down in the cafe and eat, they give you salad. When its to go, you get chips.

The breakfast sandwich with the salad was refreshing.

A question or two about your Pearl Harbor tour.....Was the tour a small group and were you able to spend some time walking around Punch Bowl and Iolani Palace grounds?

Yes, the tour had 12 total people on it.

Punchbowl was a drive through and stop and talk about different graves. Organized Tours aren't allowed to drop up there.

Iolani Palace grounds we could have walked over to. We had like 15 to 20 minutes total, but we were exhausted from whole experience by the time we got there. Plus, we were going to visit post-cruise to Iolani Palace, so I didn't have a need to go over there.

Love the bird photos! and the bakery- my, there were a lot of choices!

The military ship beds look sooo comfortable😖, but the floors are very shiny!

    Thanks!

It took me almost 10 minutes to decide what to get at the Bakery. I wanted to get ten different items, but it was cruise day and I knew we would have lots of food onboard POA.

I came to the conclusion that I would have needed to have been an officer, if I had been in the Navy, just to avoid the coffin rack beds!

After the tour, we got a sandwich to share from the ABC store. We had that and some more of our fruit for a light lunch ahead of our dinner tonight.

After the Gallery, we walked a block or so to dinner.

Did they say if the ashes of the Pearl Harbor Survivors are still being allowed to be interned on or near the Arizona Memorial?  I had a neighbor for years who was a Pearl Harbor Survivor.  He had said that he wanted to be interned at Pearl harbor.  I wonder if it happened.

I couldn't tell you if they are or are not. I have never heard anything about this.

We were on POA in September with pre cruise days in Waikiki. We also stayed at the Beachcomber booked through Costco, so enjoying the memories your pictures invoke.
I know that Dukes restaurant is a must for any first timer to Waikiki, and we have eaten there a few times, but on our last trip a friend recommended Monkeypod Kitchen, and we found that to be much more to our liking than Dukes. I recommend you try it if you have time. And close by it is House Without A Key if you enjoy Mai Tais!

We had a list of things we wanted to do and a list of things that would be cool to do if we had time. Dukes was recommended by several people and I didn't hear about Moneypod Kitchen until we were in Honolulu for the first time. By then we had the plan set, mainly to help with budgeting purposes.
