  1. I'm an experienced cruiser but new to Carnival. I need to order the water and extension for the CPAP machine and I can't find where to do that on Carnival's web site. I did a search here but it's so clunky, I didn't get what I was looking for. How do I go about ordering these things? Thanks!
  2. When my friend died, it was either give up cruising or go it solo. I love solo cruising! I eat in the MDR and ask for a large table. I take the initiative to talk to people and they are generally eager to converse. I take part in trivia games and visit the casino-a great place to talk to others. I generally do ship excursions because private tours seem to cater to pairs. The upside is that there is no "well, what do you want to do?" nonsense. I do what I want , when I want and how I want! Enjoy yourself!
  3. I use straws for all drinks with ice-including iced tea and iced coffee because my teeth are sensitive to cold.
  4. You are too funny! I use vinegar to clean the kitchen and bathroom. It's a good sanitizer and gentler on the skin. Now that we have totally hijacked this thread, I will wish you happy cruising!
  5. To the folks who are planning to bring their own plastic straws........how do you propose to discard them? If you dump them in the ship's trash, this is counter-productive to their goal of reducing waste. I would go with a reusable metal straw. It doesn't take up much room and is environmentally friendly as you are taking it home with you.
  6. Thanks for the info. It will take a bit to completely get accustomed to Carnival. We are booked on a short Liberty cruise in Sept and then a TA on the Legend next year.
  7. Royal Caribbean and Princess are not allowing regular passengers into their cabins until 1PM. Has Carnival started doing this also? I don't mind and I actually think it makes more sense for the Stewards. I just need to know what time to get to the port.
  8. Do they even have a "Formal night" on a 4 night cruise?
  9. I gotta tell you guys the RCI web site is the clunkiest cruise line site I have ever seen! It is not user friendly and I can't find the well hidden areas I need!
  10. Actually, they can ask two questions. This is from the ADA guidelines: In situations where it is not obvious that the dog is a service animal, staff may ask only two specific questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform?Jul 20, 2015
  11. I signed up for 6:30 My Time dinner. I am traveling alone. Will they be able to seat me with other people or am I doomed to be seated solo?
  12. Thank you all for the info especially Host Clarea for the links.
  13. I'm an experienced cruiser on Princess and will be sailing on the Brilliance next month. I sailed on her in 2003 and have not used RCL since. What things do I need to know? How do the two lines compare? Thanks!
