Just catching up with this. We sailed on the 11th - 25th May on Ventura (sick ship) all week it was in the back of our minds? Will we won't, we catch it? Apparently 500 people did We got through the whole cruise until the last night when my wife fell ill with Noro? After a few phone calls and as it was near midnight. P&O didn't want to know, and we were let off the ship 1st thing in the morning, I was still ok and still am. As we got off the ship and managed to get to the car and my wife still with Noro? What do we do, can't travel 400 miles home on a motorway just in case the inevitable happens. I had to book into a Hotel 5 mins away and stayed until she was OK to travel the 400 miles home. After 10 hrs in the hotel she said I think I'm OK to travel as nothing left in her body to come out 🫢 we took a chance and £145 lighter we got home with no incidents. P&O didn't want to know?

Update on the above. All back to normal, I'm lead to believe.

Update. I have now been informed that the Cruise News is now being delivered to the cabins.

Ham Egg chips. The egg was a posh scotch egg one and the chips were a flat type of potato. I wasn't impressed, for a Gala dinner the brought the Fixed dining back with yellow tickets blue tickets like the old days.

Navigate App, for some things it's brilliant, but don't rely on the money side. it's all over the place. Plus / Minus. it's a job to keep track of everything. plus, it was my card, and they put everything on my wife's..I thought I was doing well the 1st week with Zero on mine until Gail said it's all on hers..*****

On another Media platform I was doing a daily blog. This was my final piece in the jig saw. Some people will love the ship, some won't. Its life eh!! But some will like it, others not. You have read my scribblings from the past 2 weeks. I tried to put it down in words several times, but each time it ended the same way. To save any disappointment, try it out. Negatives are no Atrium, to me the Atrium on the Discoveries do it for me every time, plusses new bars and the same happy crew. Nice shiny boat on the outside but a bit tatty around some of the pool areas and cabins. All the work done was kitchens and bars and a paint job. Food a bit n miss. But we're all different, what some people like others don't. You won't please everyone.. Shows are OK if you like them. Famous Names for our 1st week. Musicians on board all brilliant. Heading off to the Airport later today to stay overnight before an early flight to Palma Majorca to jump on the Inaugural cruise of Marella Voyager for 2 weeks. After 54 cruises, this is the most eagerly awaited cruise for a long time. 😇

Last October, a Friend of Ours went to reception on the 1st day and enquired about an upgrade to a balcony from an inside cabin Deck 4 and within 30 mins had an answer to deck 8 Balcony for £100 Bargain considering she was single and had an inside Cabin. So I tried and Reception would let me know in 30 mins.... Got a message to go to reception..yes I thought her we go..bargain upgrade? Wrong..I was quoted £400 to upgrade from outside cabin to Balcony. I wasn't that interested. our friend still laughs about it to this day. As I joked, she only got it because she had Boobs 😇 😁
