The most recommended operator on this board is International Friends. https://www.internationalfriends.co.uk

I’d start there. This is kind of what they do.

I highly recommend International Friends.  I have taken them from Southampton dock with a stop at Salisbury, Stonehenge and Windsor then dropped off at my London hotel, arriving at the hotel around 5-6pm.  Purchase tickets for Stonehenge and Windsor through them,

I have also taken them post cruise from Dover.

A great way to see another part of Britain and getting dropped off at a London hotel.

It’s been a common request and seems logical, but it is actually a hard thing to price out. When people analyze the values of Plus and Premier, they always factor in Gratuities and Wi-Fi at full price and then look at the other inclusions within the package to see if it makes sense to purchase them. And alcohol is almost always the deciding factor. If Princess offered a “No Alcohol” package that similarly built in Gratuities and Wi-Fi at full price, there wouldn’t be much room for a discount that would be worth advertising. Assuming $18 for Gratuities and $25 for Wi-Fi, the Package would start at $43. Add in the daily value of non-alcohol drinks and the package would have to cost at least $48-$50. Is that a big enough delta between Plus to make it marketable?  It’s the cost of one drink. And if the price of the package fell below the actual cost of Gratuities and Wi-Fi, say $40, the people who bought Plus or Premier would scream bloody murder because their packages are presumed to build those things in at full price. The math gets fuzzy because so many people are entitled to half-price Wi-Fi due to Captain’s Circle status. So it isn’t as simple as it seems. If it were, they would have done it already.

In the past, I have pre purchased the soda package (I don’t drink alcohol or coffee/tea), tips and Elite WiFi and saved a couple hundred $ over the Plus.  I can live without the fancy desserts, the casual dining, fitness classes.

  3. On one cruise, I talked to the Head of Hotel in length , I mentioned to him, Princess should offer a non alcoholic package as so many don’t drink alcohol and he thought that was a great idea and he said he would pass it along to headquarters.  Who knows if it was ever mentioned to headquarters?

  4. I have purchased OBC in CDN$ (better rate than banks) into US$ as OBC before my cruise.  I have used in the casino, You set up a casino account with your medallion, you put in your birthday, a number passcode, it will ask $ you want to switch from your cabin account to your casino account. PLAY a little then cash out.  Go to casino cashier, you use your medallion and passcode, you get US$ cash.  All casino account need to be empty before the last day.  I have read, people have received a US cheque for any left over money in their casino account.

I had $ OBC left over in my cabin account for a cancelled excursion the last day .  I asked at Guest Services 3x times from 3 different crew members, if it would be on my CDN credit card or USA cheque, “since it is your refundable money, on your card”.  I received a USA cheque in the mail. The envelope is not from Princess, so check all your junk mail.

We took Invergordon Tours on our British Isles cruise. Our excursion went to Urquhart Castle, the cruise on Loch Ness, a stop for lunch at a garden center, Clava Cairns, and Cawdor Castle. Due to time constraints, we slowed down at Culloden Battlefield but did not stop. I thought it was a great excursion that fit a lot in.

The tour you too was it -

According to the website, Princess Plus includes 2 casual dining restaurants PER SAILING.  We have a 26 day cruise booked (one sailing, not B2B2B) and added Princess Plus.  Does anyone know if it will it still only be 2 casual dining meals?

If the ship has Alfredo/Gigi pizza place, we found we each could not eat a whole pizza (large dinner plate), we asked if we could use only 1 casual dining credit. We shared the appetizer, dessert and each chose the pizza topping for each half. Doing only 1 casual dining credit instead of 2, we could go again.

  7. I purchased London Pass with Oyster card on my first visit to London.  I didn’t think I got my money worth buying it.  Too many places and not enough time to see everything listed.  It did save time as there a separate line at the Tower of London.

My next couple of visits to London, I decided what places (used their list to see what places to visit ),  and pre purchased my tickets and loaded £ up on bus pass.  Sometimes having pre purchased tickets saved time in line and sometimes £.
