  1. Do a google search for this video. Sky Suite Connecting Configurations | Celebrity Edge Full Walkthrough Tour & Review 4K | 2021
  2. My MIL and her sister were in a non suite cabin. I informed the Maitr'D and our butler. We went on prime rib night. I was great. Other reason is limited food option in Luminae on the Edge class ship. I saw what Jim said on #17. I'm crossing my fingers that I might be able to order off the MDR menu on our June Apex cruise. Friends picked Apex for Iceland.
  3. I just booked a sky suite last week with my TA for Sept 2025. My TA asked if I wanted the cruise-only rate. I said no. I thought she might just got something wrong. We are 800 points away from Zenith.
  4. Yes, the more I think about it, it might have been MC.
  5. I might be wrong, but I remember sky suites and Celebrity suites had limited access to Luminae in the beginning. Luminae was introduced in April 2014. I dont remember how any months the access was limited, but it was. I want to say the limited access was less than a year. Around the time X introduced Luminae we were doing 3 to 5 cruises a year, mostly in AquaClass. So I looked into suites.
  6. Yes I was. This is what I remember. When Luminae was introduced sky suites could have breakfast and lunch in Luminae, but not dinner. That changed at some point. I'll do a search.
  7. We started booking suites in 2016 when sky suites were able to dine in Luminae. As others have said Luminae is only open for lunch on embarkation day and sea days.
  8. Seems like X is still spending money on M Class ships. 19 MARCH 2024 Celebrity Infinity has returned to service following refurbishment and will spend the 2024-2025 season sailing European itineraries. The Celebrity Cruises vessel now has, in the rear of the ship, new Sunset Suites that include large private balconies designed specifically to give passengers the opportunity to watch the sun set during their cruise. The Retreat Lounge (formerly Michael’s Club) has been given a refreshed look and new colour palette for a warm and intimate atmosphere. The private restaurant Luminae at The Retreat has been expanded, giving more space for suite guests to enjoy the complimentary beverages, gourmet bites, live entertainment and more. “We strive to exceed guest expectations, from elevated service onboard and thoughtful amenities through to interior spaces designed to make guests feel at home in their surroundings,” said Keith Lane, senior vice president of hotel operations at Celebrity Cruises. “The enhancements to Celebrity Infinity, particularly the transformation of The Retreat Lounge, epitomises our commitment to providing an unmatched experience for our guests, ensuring that every journey with Celebrity Cruises is memorable.”
  9. We have done many Alaska cruises on Celebrity, Princess, Royal, and HAL. We are booked on the Solstice out of Vancouver BC in Sept going to Icy Strait Point and Hubbard Glacier. Icy Strait Point I do the 2 trams to get to the Ziprider, great fun. I also eat some raw oyster if the month has a R in it at a café in the shop area. https://icystraitpoint.com/tour/worlds-largest-ziprider-and-scenic-mountain-ascent/ As to what glacier to see. I just dont see what people see in Glacier Bay over Hubbard Glacier. That is when it comes to seeing frozen ice. The scenery going into Glacier bay is nice. The following photo of Hubbard Glacier. We were on Millie 2 or 3 years ago, Seward to Vancouver BC.
  10. Yes, that might be so. But on the positive side X is starting to spend some money on updating a older ship. I myself like the M class ships updated or not over the décor and layout of the E class ship. I like the layout of the S class ships. But the décor seems more outdated than the old M class ships.
  11. My go to is Mer Soleil chardonnay. Can have a strong oak flavor.

  13. In 2019 on the Edge it was held at The Club on deck 5. It is a room with a bar and no windows.
  14. Check with Hertz car rentals. I think Hertz charged us a $250 additional fee for one way drop off.
  15. My problem with Luminae on the E Class ships is that you are limited to Luminae menu and the Classic menu. Other class ships as in your case Eclipse you can order off Luminae and the MDR menu. This just gives us more choices. We were on the Eclipse last Sept. We were in a CS and my MIL was in a non suite cabin. Luminae maitre d said to show up when we open for dinner and there would not be a problem have guests in Luminae.
  16. Our one Azamara cruise loyalty points went to my Celebrity Captains Club account. I also got $250 OBC for having 100 share of RCL.
  17. No, You would have to take a taxi. I would add Chihuly Garden and Glass near the base of the Space Needle. You really do not want to spend 5 hours at Seatac. https://www.chihulygardenandglass.com/
  18. We were on the Eclipse last Sept in a CS. Ship was in good shape. We dined in Luminae, Murano and the MDR. What I like about non E Class ships is that you can order from the MDR in Luminae. I just booked an RS for Alaska on Solstice over the Edge out of my Seattle.
  19. Seattle has a free valet service for flights after 11am. Depending on traffic, the drive could take 30-45 minutes. Seattle has light rail that goes to Seatac airport. https://www.portseattle.org/page/port-valet-enjoy-seattle-luggage-free
  20. My MIL and her sister joined us last minute on Eclipse. We were in a Celebrity Suite. They were not in a suite. The Maître D said show up when they open. I was charged for the dinner, but not for lunch on a sea day. We also joined them in the MDR on prime rib night. With the food being very limited in Luminae on the E Class ships. I would not spend the extra OBC for a guest at dinner. Lunch on a sea day, yes.
  21. Back in 2019 I was asked for our seapass cards at the retreat pool bar. I did see on this board that X had stopped asking for seapass cards at the retreat pool bar. I dont like the Edge class suite class. We have Apex booked for June.
  22. Are you saying that X removed access to Sky Lounge on Millie?
  23. Last year we did one cruise. It was on Eclipse in the retreat. We did 2 land trips. One to Playacar, Mexico and Christmas in England. We have Apex booked out of England for the end of June in the retreat. Personally I dont like the E Class, but going to give E Class one last try. Only been in the retreat on the E Class. I am thinking about a river cruise in Europe or more land vacations. We used to do 3 Celebrity cruises a year.
  24. My solution was to cancel our Dec 7th 16 night cruise on Eclipse in a aft sky suite. We leave tomorrow for 2 week in England. Only 1 cruise this year on X.
