  1. It looks like the website is a bit wonky right now. I'm not sure that $100 deposit is correctly listed. If you click on it, you get the 'Something went wrong message.....' There is supposed to be a $1 deposit starting soon...maybe the 1st? Someone posted about it. You might want to look for that post...
  2. You should see the charge on the app and as long as it is working correctly, you should see the $2 charge. Otherwise, it would be $0.
  3. "It" knows. However, it is a good idea to periodically check your folio to be sure you didn't get charged for a drink in error. You can check your folio on the app, on your tv and at a kiosk by Customer Service.
  4. @HaveDogWillTravelWow! Bar Menus! Real actual menus, not just the result of scanning a code which may or may not work!! How exciting! Was it hard to find them? We were on the Emerald in August and real menus were non-existant. Interesting to see especially there actually is a Vines menu!
  5. Not quite sure what you are asking.... but... Alcholic beverages have a limit of 15 / day Non-alcoholic beverages are unlimited. Is that what you are asking?
  6. Print off your Travel Summary. Print off your Luggage Tags (and attach just before you get to the pier). Then you should be good! Have a great cruise!
  7. When you go into Dine My Way on the app, does a line show up at the top that indicates you have a dining credit? If so, I "think" you should be good to book it. If you don't see that it might be that it doesn't show up until you are onboard. Then....I don't know... In my case, it came with the booking so it showed on the app that I had a credit....not sure if the TA is 'giving ' it to you, or really sometimes they say that, but it's really just part of the booking.
  8. I think you will always get the emails for the upcoming cruises you have booked. However, I think these are called Marketing emails and you have to specifically allow them. Check in your personalizer under My Profile. See the section called "Receive Offers and News". There you must specifically say "Yes" to Email. It will also result in them sending you other marketing emails about cruises that you haven't booked. Hope that helps.
  9. Also, logon to your Cruise Personalizer and be sure you have Accept Emails set to "Yes". I was quite surprised when I logged into my account when all this started and saw that Emails were set to "No" even though they have always been set to "Yes" in the past. So, good to check. I received the bidding offer within 24 hours after I changed it to "Yes".
  10. @HaveDogWillTravel Thanks for the Patters. We board on Saturday, though totally different cruise since it's a California Coastal. It appears that there was NO "party band" on board for your cruise....or did I miss that? Also, it looks like the Outrigger Bar at the aft of the ship was never open. πŸ˜’ I guess I'll be trying to use my App for drinks since that's our favorite area of the ship.
  11. These concern me as with the word "Club" it 'feels' like an upcharge. I'm seeing a real lack of outdoor spaces front and aft for us 'commoners'. 😳
  12. We were on the Emerald Princess in August. Of course, that was in the British Isles, so may not be the same. We made a small number of calls deal with a small issue at home. The first one we used WiFi Calling successfully, though a bit choppy. The 2nd call using WiFi Calling just didn't work, so we gave up and used WhatsApp, which seemed to be a bit better. Another tip is to stay in one spot when calling. DH has a tendancy to wander while talking and I think that made it harder to keep the connection. πŸ™„ I also think the 2nd call was on a Sea Day, so it may have impacted how good the WiFi was? Bottom line would be to have multiple options available.
  13. I wouldn't cruise if I wasn't in a balcony....and I am picky about the location....so the bid process doesn't do much for me! Not to worry...there are plenty like me that will pay for the balconies. 😁 Congratulations on your bid win of a balcony!!!
  14. Thanks for this. We are also aft people, but for our January cruise thought the Sun Deck on Enchanted looked interesting. I specifically booked Sun Deck to try out that area. Wouldn't you know it, Princess "upgraded" me to a mid-ship on a lower deck, so I ended up having to spend an hour on the phone with them getting my old cabin back. Fortunately, they did send an email notifying me about the upgrade. Glad to hear you like the Sun Deck since I am working hard to stay there! 😁
  15. I can't find the original verbiage, but as I recall the bidding was only effective starting with cruises sailing (about) October 1st or later. So, none of those have sailed yet.
  16. Not sure what the "Captain's Gala Dinner" is? Are you talking about Formal night? If so, it depends on the itinerary. What would you expect to see at "Captain's Gala Dinner"?

  20. Question. I have successfully used DMW on my cruise in August. Now I have a few more coming up and thought I would go check on my reservations. I tried one in 2023 that I have not yet booked the DMW. I got the message "Please check back closer to your journey date to use this feature". I have tried a few times on different dates and always get this message. Today I tried again. Same message. Then I decided to try my upcoming October cruise which I already have booked reservations. Same message. I tried logging off the app and restarting my phone. Tried again. Same message. I checked and I have the current version. I am out of ideas. Not critical, but at some point I would like to book reservations on the 2023 cruise. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  21. The straws on the Emerald in August were tall enough for a Bloody Mary, so they 'worked' for me. I think in the past they were shorter. Oddly enough, now the problem 'could' be the opposite...if you want to stir something in a short glass, I think they only have tall ones. 😁
  22. This. I was pleasantly surprised at the paper straws on our August Emerald cruise. Paper straws, but worked great!
  23. One good thing is that on Princess, unlike Carnival or perhaps other lines, you DO NOT have to wait 5 minutes between ordering each alcoholic drink. We were on the Emerald in August and had no problem ordering beer chasers for our Bloodie Marys -- ordering them together. We didn't try to do too much ordering drinks with the Medallion, but reports are that you could order multiple alcoholic drinks at a time on that also. (We would also order 4 waters at a time for me and DH, so we could stock up a bit in our cabin.)
  24. It might also generate more interest if we could see more of the planned public venues. There can only be so much speculation.....without any facts.
