  1. We have cruised NCL for years but have never received an "upgrade" email. (We did get a telephone call about switching suites, which we agreed to do). We just got an email for an August 2019 cruise, which seemed early. Is there an easy way to discern whether researching this is worth the time? And, if you have booked with the UDP and SDP and bid, do you lose the promos?
  2. We are booked on the Escape in August; also Platinum driving to and from the pier. I decided that we should just carry our stuff off to avoid the crush of people leaving the ship. Unfortunately, the guests we are traveling with aren't platinum. We all want to just get to the car and motor. Any advice?
  3. We had no difficulty bringing wine onboard at ports in Europe. You will be charged the corkage fee for each bottle.
  4. Thanks for all the responses and the info about booking for SDP and platinum benefit. I never thought of making those reservations in a particular order. May not end up using the platinum benefit because my sister and her husband would have to pay to join us.
  5. Haven't cruised on NCL in 3 years. We are cruising on the Escape to Bermuda with relatives and have the specialty dining package (2 dinners) plus another because we are platinum. Would love to get some advice on the best restaurants to book. Saw some mediocre reviews of Cagneys and don't want to waste a dinner there if they were accurate. Thanks!
  6. I have no idea when/if NCL will offer a British Isles itinerary but I will say that our cruise in 2015 was superb. Great way to see those ports and a lovely cruise. NCL should offer it more often.
