I hate to be a stickler fr safety but these days you can never be too careful. Is there a way to disable the proximity medallion so that your cabin door does not open as you approach? I am imagining some scenario where a creep follows you down your corridor and then is able to enter your cabin because it unlocked automatically. 

You guys are probably correct. I guess it wasn't thought through very well.

I was watching some kids playing at a local campground and marvelling at how much they love sleeping in tents. I would like to suggest to cruiselines that a fun activity for the younger set would be one night of the cruise spent camping on the lido deck, complete with tents, sleeping blankets, hotdogs, smores, singalongs etc. I think the kids would have an absolute blast.

We are tentatively booked on an April 2015 Caribbean cruise on the new NCL Getaway. We have cruised NCL 3 times before and loved it each time. What worries me is the bad reviews that I am reading about the Getaway's sister ship Breakaway. Any thoughts?

We are sailing to Hawaii on the Golden Princess in April, 2013. This will be our 4th cruise and we look forward to each one. Thus my question to pose to the readers. Does cruising ever become ho hum, old hat, yawn?
