That’s mostly Blue Ray and 4k discs.  I still believe physical media looks and sounds better than streaming.  Plus, it’s all movies/shows and concerts I can watch whenever I want.

Fortunately, I have my system set up for 7.2 and 4k player/display.  Have theater seats set up.  I rarely go to any theaters any more!

Plus, my bathroom is a lot cleaner than the ones at the multiplex! 😉

I get it!  Well at least I get living with it. Hubby is an audiophile and general geek 🤣. Our AV room.

If anyone local (I'm in central NJ) ever wants anything let me know! I happily bake for friends and family all the time.

I've always wondered about how wildgrain is, I poked around on their website once thinking "maybe in case of emergency" and get emails all the time.

Yesterday's sandwich loaf came out beautiful (aside from a slight blowout on one side haha). I also need to make another one today because somehow everyone decided they were having sandwiches for dinner last night which I was not complaining about because that involved me not cooking. 😆

I have been blown away with the quality of everything I’ve tried from them. Sooo tasty and easy. And the BEST croissants I’ve ever tasted anywhere. I just baked this in my toaster oven for breakfast. 15 minutes. (Sharpie for size reference).

Unfortunately (for this purpose) I’m in Texas. Have lots of family probably close to you. They are in Cherry Hill, Mt Laurel, Bordenton, etc. We will actually be meeting them “down the shore” for a reunion this summer. Love visiting up there.

I've debated starting a micro bakery from home but I barely have enough time to do the things I need to do, never mind adding that to my plate.

If you ever change your mind and decide to open your micro bakery make sure you let us know. I will be the first to sign up!  I made the “mistake” of subscribing to Wildgrain earlier this year. No way I can justify it financially and thought I’d cancel after the first month but it is addictive!  My pocketbook and my scales are not happy with me at all 🤣

I don’t think there is a difference between the two restaurants. It’s different than the main dining room.

There are still a lot of extra perks of the suites that differentiate it from the Reserve.

As I compared menus on the live threads on early sailings the menus for Signature and Reserve were very similar but not identical. The one difference I remember is the prime rib was not available every night in the Reserve and the waitstaff didn’t even know about the Trolley. The Signature staff said while they have the Princeton every night the trolley wasn’t there yet but would be. I think there were a few other differences but don’t recall what.

I’m betting you can’t go that long without.

it will be 8 months for me by the time I cruise again in July, and I’m DYING. 😂 That’s because we went to DC instead of cruising over spring break.

I know the feeling ALL too well! It will be 11 (!) months for me between our last cruise in Jan and our next one for New Year. BUT our oldest son is getting married out of state in June followed by a family reunion the next weekend in yet another state. We will be gone from home for 3 weeks. Hubby will work remote as able but he only has do much vacay so here we are. I do also have our 25tb Anniversary cruise coming up in May 2025 to look forward to.

Dinner plans are ruined. Out of the 11 items I needed to get at the grocery store in order to make dinner tonight, I was only able to get 4 of them. The store is empty! Like Covid empty!! The traffic was also wild, 80% of the cars are from out of state to watch this 3-4 minutes Eclipse on Monday. I guess it will have to be spaghetti...

We are just south of Dallas in the totality area. My DH keeps shaking his head and saying it’s gonna be another Y2K thing (for those old enough to remember 🤣). Not that the eclipse won’t happen, he just doesn’t believe all the warnings for traffic, etc. He has been told to work from home. He was kidding me this morning and saying I’d better stock up on bread, water, milk, etc. I told him those were on my Walmart pickup today but only because I needed them. Notji

g to do with the eclipse. I guess I was lucky to get my stuff!

My teen was disappointed that it hadn’t started yet! She just got off Sun Princess.

I saw some invitation only events last week and some mentioned hoping it would be open this week. Still haven’t seen an answer if there is a discounted price for teens since it includes the alcohol. Will be interesting to read about but I know we won’t be going on our cruise next year. Other things I'd rather spend my $149 per person on. But love others having the option!

Here’s an aside… when we came in to Hollywood, across the street from our hotel was a really cool looking building called The Magic Castle. I assumed it was a hotel and decided to research it. Turns out that it’s a nightclub for magicians! DS informed me that this place was in the Ricky, Nicky, Dicky and Dawn show,

Also the Sun Princess has a new to Princess dining experience in partnership with Magic Castle. It’s called Spellbound. Pricey but looks interesting.

So the Prime Rib trolley does exist? I thought someone in this forum had reported it was not happening on Sun?

I love prime rib and have been reading everything I can. It appears to me from what I’ve seen posted that the Signature menus have the “trolley” prime rib on the menu every night but it is coming from the kitchen, not a trolley yet. What cruisedoctor posted about the trolley not being delivered yet makes sense since it is in the menu description.

I’ve also seen people ask about it in the Reserve dining room expecting it to be there also but I have not seen any menus with it listed in that one. I think that is part of what is causing the confusion for many.

You have your eye on that banana split, don't you Lenny.

Yep😀. But I remember another dessert from there too that looked really good, just can’t remember what it was!  I still have over a year to figure it out unfortunately.

You can go anywhere you want, even the MDR

I didn’t ask my question right. I know we can go anywhere, my question is if we do eat lunch or dinner in the Signature can we go to the American diner later that same day for dessert or snack.

I was wondering if we have dinner in the Signature Dining Room can we go to the American Diner for dessert later?  Or mid afternoon for that matter. Since it is technically an option of the MDR I wasn’t sure.

  13. We are booked in a suite next year and I am still looking forward to the Signature Sun Deck and Sanctuary access. I fully understand the disappointment from other. we like others have mentioned will not be spending much time there. In nearly 20 cruises I have probably spent less than an hour average in any public deck chair🤣. We wander mostly. Spend a little time here then move on so I never would pay for Sanctuary access. If I get to the Sun Deck and there’s a spot available I will hang out a bit if not I’ll move on. So we don’t have to be counted in the suite guests who will race up for a place. Others can enjoy ours!

So my teen is getting ready for her adventure...she flies to Porto on Wednesday and will stay 4 days with our friends who relocated there from Vancouver. Then she flies to Rome and meets up with our friends from Northern BC who will be taking her on a 10 day cruise on the new Sun Princess. I had no desire to tag along whatsoever - for one thing, I don't do cruises where the airfare costs more than the entire rest of the vacation, and another thing, I don't do the first few sailings on a brand new ship. With the first two sailings getting cancelled, she will be on the 3rd sailing for this ship. While the ship looks beautiful, the folks onboard (what is now the inaugaral cruise) are a little miffed that much of the excusive, new aspects aren't ready/open. I'm sure she will have a blast! The boy and I are going to Universal Studios Hollywood and cruising home on NCL Bliss...

Will you be doing a Live from the Bliss?  Also, I’d love to hear any thoughts or info from your daughter or friends about the Sun. We are going on her next year and I’m reading EVERYTHING I can find here and other social media. Soooo excited!
