On a different line a few years ago I found my bill tucked behind the light fixture in the hallway. As a wheelchair user I couldn't reach it an had to ask a passenger going by to get it down for me. If I didn't look up I'd never have seen it.

Personally as a full time wheelchair user I love when elevator lines consist of mostly people who walk just fine and acknowledge they are only going down ONE DECK yet take 10min waiting for an elevator. As a kid I learned how to bump myself down stairs in my chair and when I see a long line I'll do just that. It's amusing when I announce "screw the line, I'm taking the stairs" then DO IT how many people are shocked thinking I was joking. Also fun to jokingly say "room for one more?" when it's full an wheel rather quickly towards the packed elevator an stop just short of the doors an say I'll take the next one.

I'm in a wheelchair an went around the city alone with no safety issues other than some cobblestones that were loose in the streets. Saw a few people asking for change but simple No an they seemed to move on.

Since the ships won't stop at the destroyed ports it will NOT help those locations so why not cancel especially if those ports are why you booked in the first place. Sorry Won't give to Red Cross - doesn't give the majority of the donation accepted to those who need it. Goodwill around here cheat disabled employees by paying them 1/2 of what non disabled employees get, So they won't get my $$$ either. I'll sail where the people are ready to accept tourists.

Bathroom - Usually get an inside cabin so NO balcony an I'll sleep when I'm dead so don't care about the bed. Need a good clean private bathroom away from all the nasty people who don't wash their hands or other parts and touch the door handle as well as those who don't know how to flush.

Haven't been on Celebrity yet but plenty of other lines which also had the same t-shirt "rule". Once on board many of the rules posted on the websites pretty much got tossed off the ship as we left port. Many would wear a nicer t-shirt to dinner under a jacket an once dinner was over jacket goes back to the cabin to sleep as t-shirt stays up all night to PARTY!!! Not to mention many took the jackets off before eating anyway so jackets were on for maybe all of 20-40min the entire trip. Personally stopped bringing a jacket/sport coat after our 2nd cruise simply because it wasn't needed enough and saved space in luggage.
-
Why? simple - the websites aren't correct or are vague for many questions. Not to mention things change before the changes make it to the websites. Example Mast grill - free or not - some were still seeing it as extra cost online while those on board weren't being charged anything.

When we get into the taxi driving away from the port an can't see the ship anymore.

If a cruise deal comes with a free Classic Package, it cannot be changed when booking.
We've done it with other lines- MSC and Costa while sailing out of US booked through US - as long as it was a down grading of package, they didn't have any issue making changes. Changed from alcohol packages to soda or soda/water with nothing more than a "give me one minute and the sound of typing on a keyboard" and it was done.
Don't know if it's a cruise line specific thing, country difference or simply people don't attempt to ask until after boarding.
-
Many here are saying they did it on-board.
Dumb question - Did anyone request the change upon making the original booking and the agent said NO or was the thought of changing packages not thought about until after the booking was completed.

Just wondering where does the staff put the collected items for the hogs to collect when they show up hours later? Personally bring my own chair on wheels so finding a chair isn't a problem it's finding a spot to park an not be in a busy walkway. Joys of a wheelchair user.

Considering the excursion because we'll be traveling with someone with mobility issues an wheelchair accessible transportation on the island is rather hard to come by without doing a tour through the cruise lines.
-
Wondering if we want to skip hanging around the hotel does the excursion transportation offer to take us back to the ship or will we have to get out an find a taxi on our own?
-
Is it a difficult walk from the ship pier to the town boardwalk? Many hills? paved sidewalk most or all the way? Rather go by foot than load up in a water taxi when we already have 2 tender ports on the trip or wait for a taxi.

Curious if that much ballroom dancing was going on was there a good size ballroom dancing group booked on board. We'll be sailing in late January 2018 on the Equinox with an Irish group an have daily Irish dance lessons along with private to our group Irish entertainment. Sort of a theme cruise but not the entire ship. Unless it's a majority of the ships passengers usually the different lines don't mention it to the other passengers booked on the sailing.

We've been to SJ many times before although always docked 8am-10am an left by 6pm. Just wondering as we'll probably use it as a relaxing day on a semi empty ship, what do people do at this stop with such a late port time.
-
Last two times we've been there it has been free although a tip jar has been near the door but no driver has been pushy in asking for anything. I've used the stop across from the CVS (left turn from the pier on the water side of the street) an had no issues getting on an I use a wheelchair (maybe 5-6 people waiting with me) at the next stop was more like 25-60 waiting. I took the bus up to El Morro an the amount of people waiting to go back to the ships was crazy so wheeled back on my own in 15min.

Having sailed out of the port many times many of our ships did a similar reasonably close turn near the house/deck shown in the video. Yes it was windy on the day the video was taken but looking at the marker in the water to the right the ship doesn't come close at all to warrant such a reaction from these home owners. Forgot what media outlets page it was on but someone posted the woman' FB page which has A LOT of pictures of ships just as close yet the recent Equinox event is the only one getting attention???

Haven't booked yet so don't have booking/reservation number to verify myself which is why I'm asking here. What is the cost of the Premium NON alcoholic package? the general website listing shows the Classic NON alcoholic as -$18 per night then lists the Premium NON alcoholic as $4 per night. This seems like a typo to me considering the "soda package is listed at $9per night so is the premium really $14, $24 or $34??? Yes I know they'll add an 18% service charge on top.

By Taxi heck yes it is possible. We didn't do self debarkation an were still off the ship by 7:55, grabbed luggage an through customs by 8:05. If we hadn't booked a shuttle which was on time for us but had another pickup after us which we waited a good 20min for them even though they said they were at the pickup location. We then had to make a stop to let one of the other passengers off at a nearby hotel in Miami an they were the slowest at goodbyes. Why the entire party had to get out of the van to say goodbye to the one person I didn't get especially when the rest of us were waiting to go not that we were in a rush but come on don't make other people wait.
We were at the airport by 9:45 regardless but could see the lines growing due to all the cruise passengers showing up.
Make sure your luggage has some visible markers that can be seen from across a room. So many plain black bags that all look the same.

While onboard the ship yes. Being in a wheelchair just makes it easier to carry than in pocket that might hit one of my wheels an knock the card out.
Every cruise I find at least 5-10 peoples cards on the floor.

I've had non used towels simply just moved from their original shelf replaced with new ones. Knew they were new because the original had a small hole in one corner.
They were only moved from the upper to lower shelf not on to a counter or put on the floor. Hey I'm in a wheelchair the top shelf isn't an easy reach. Being a handicapped cabin the lower shelf should be the normal original location for towels.

Put the ashtray in a drawer; ask your room attendant to take away the ice bucket.
Problem solved.
Pretty hard to put the ashtray in a drawer since you'd first have to take it off the wall with a screwdriver or wrench which not everyone carries with them.
Wishful thinking or ignoring reality?

Same for our Jan 20th - not listed in the changed itinerary section "yet" however the only excursions available are in Miami. I'm sure SJ will be out as ours was supposed to be a late port stop 3-11pm. Personally would rather see Port TBA or TBD rather than kept listed as originally planned making some think it's all still on as scheduled and going to happen unless new weather or rough seas issues come up.
