  1. Last year on the Solstice we had a limit. Personally after three martinis I was spent. I knew someone who sued, unsuccessfully, Carnival because of their drink limit saying it wasn't unlimited as advertised. If you have to worry about more than 15 alcoholic drinks then...well...Betty Ford might be the best next vacation spot. I've been on some cruises where people want to see how drunk they want to get. I'd rather enjoy my cruise without the hangovers, etc.
  2. That is where it is a pricing thing. Up to $10 for basic up to $17 for premium
  3. This link is the official listing of what is offered. I believe there is a cap per day, but it does not show. All-Inclusive Cruise Drink Packages | Celebrity Cruises Specialty coffees included in the premium package.
  4. As low as that is it may be my CC Discount.
  5. And at that the snacks were meh. Some were, "what is this slop?" Definitely not X's culinsary standard. We go to Alaska again in May 24 and we will tell our steward to skip the canapes.
  6. We did Alaska last year in September and there were plenty of die-hards swimming, however just being on the deck outside was too cold for me. Fortunately the ship had also an indoor pool area for adults. They do have about two hours of family time in the indoor pool. I get cold easily so this is a hard question to answer. I live in the Los Angeles area and if it gets to the 50's we are pulling out our heavy winter coats like we are in a New York blizzard.
  7. I have a cruise booked for next May. Right now they are are offering an upgrade from Classic to Premium at $18.99 per guest per day at a savings of 5%. If I wait until closer, will that discount get larger or is that about it?
  8. Exactly why I am using a TA. Last year trying to get hold of a personal cruise planner at X is a joke. Left a message last March for my cruise last September and I am still waiting for a return call.
  9. Yes, but it is trying to charge the full price for the premium NOT an upgrade.
  10. Yes specifically ALL INC BOGO 60
  11. All In specifically ALLINCBOGO60 Then I have an item TDP3-BEVCLINGRA7 which is a charge then TDP2-PROMO2C 7N which is a credit from the previous charge.
  12. 13. I am booked in a concierge stateroom on the Edge for Alaska in May 2024. This is supposed to come with the drink package. I went on X's website to see what shore excursions they have so far and wanted to upgrade my drink package to the premium. I noticed it is offering the basic drink package at full price like I don't have one. My questions are is this... A) the TA fault when she booked it? B) a glitch on X's end? C) The fact that the cruise is 14 months out it will/should straighten itself out closer in?
  14. 31 May 2024. I booked yesterday when the TA opened and Celebrity released the cruises to their website. My TA was running late so another was helping me and she couldn't find the cruise. My TA was able to find it and book it.
  15. Just booked this exact cruise again for the opposite end of the season for May 2024. They changed the ship to the Edge.
  16. You do have 30 days from when you booked it for a TA to take a cruise over. They are STRICT on that.
  17. I'll add some as well from my experience on Solstice. 1. Don't be a table hog in the Ocean Cafe. It's okay to hold a table while the rest of your party is grazing through the buffet, but don't sit and read while having coffee. 2. Don't take up a table in the Ocean Cafe to play cards. Really this happened during a busy sea day lunch. 3. When using the public loos, do let those trying to exit first, exit. Some of them are pretty small.
  18. Double YEAH! Alaska 2024 is open and they are using the Edge. I did the exact same route on Solstice in September of this year, I just want to see Alaska at the other end of the season. We have a Prime Concierge stateroom Deck 11 in a C1. We were in C3 deck 9 on Solstice. A few questions for y'all: 1. How do the two ships differ? 2. My birthday falls on a Sea Day and I would like to do a specialty restaurant that night. Any recommendations? I eat anything but my DH does not eat red meat or salmon. 3. What are the best venues for a pre-dinner say 6 PM cocktail? Solstice we made friends with a group the first night and sadly we ended up at the Martini Bar every night. I want to be able to change it up this time.
  19. On the Solstice our stateroom and bathroom were wonderful. The sliding doors for the shower sometimes were a little sticky but other than that the bath was nice. Just had to watch out for the step into the bathroom and into the shower.
  20. My signiture lists all the cruise lines I have been on except Premier which was my first cruise. They since have gone under. Terrible ships.
  21. LOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEED IT! Hooked on Celebrity now. We are doing the same route May/June of 2024 to try it at the other end of the cruise season.
  22. For adults, the indoor pool was nice. Sitting on your balcony watching nature go by. Sharing a nice pot of tea with a loved one in the coffee bar.
  23. Ours was on the same and noticed the maze of corridors as well. No straight shot from end to end. We also missed on HAL the grand staircase. They had a hole on one deck so you could see down, but not the same as descending the grand staircase.
