  1. Copied my post from upgrade thread : We booked a large balcony mini suite. Original price $1719 pp all 5 perks including 3rd & 4th free. My bid on the Haven 2 bedroom H4 was $1600 pp which was an upper fair bid. On Tuesday the suites and mini suites changed to sold out. I upped bid to $1750 pp but I believe all upgrades for those cabin types were already made. I actually conversed through Facebook messenger with someone that won upgrade. They were notified on Tuesday. They had a midship mini-suite for 3 and won the 2 bedroom. She didn’t give me exact bid, but did say it was lower good area. I don’t think it was much more than ours. I also heard that that someone with an aft have suite won an upgrade to owners suite. The owner’s suites had been showing as “sold out” at least since January. So as many have said in the past, you can still win a bid on a “soldout” category.
  2. I did try again - here is the email exchange: My email: We spoke yesterday regarding purchasing an additional cabin for our cruise this weekend. I was somewhat confused on why NCL wouldn’t want to have us purchase another cabin. I am following up again, to see what the “penalty” would be for the following: · We purchased a mid –ship large balcony, one of the perks was the 3rd & 4th passenger free · We are interested in purchasing an inside cabin (deck 8), if available · We would then move 2 passengers from initial cabin to the new cabin First, is a deck 8 inside available? If yes, what would be the penalty on the first cabin? If yes, what would be the cost on the second cabin? Response: I spoke with NCL today and due to the cruise being so close the penalties would be 100% of the trip cost for the 2 passengers. The air for Kevin would not be able to be moved to a inside cabin and he would have to buy new tickets to travel. Let me know if you have any questions. Hope you have a great trip. Please feel free to check with the front desk onboard to see if there is any availability for your request to have 2 passengers moved. So no definite info regarding penalty. I just gave up. Might try on board, but now I just want to sit back and enjoy the trip, so I don't know if it would be worth potential aggravation.
  3. Haven’t received my official email that bids were not accepted, but at 2 days out I’m pretty confident they haven’t. We booked a large balcony mini suite. Original price $1719 pp all 5 perks including 3rd & 4th free. My bid on the Haven 2 bedroom H4 was $1600 pp which was an upper fair bid. On Tuesday the suites and mini suites changed to sold out. So as many have said in the past, you can still win a bid on a “sold out” category. So not in the cards for us this time, but will try again. 😊 All 4 of us have spa passes so we will have to drown our sorrows there. 😂 Good luck to all bidders. Hopefully this info helps someone.
  4. Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. I might try again, but honestly both conversations were like pulling teeth. I’m afraid that because the names and latitude numbers are already associated with a cabin that if I push it, then it could really mess things up. Might also try on board. Seems to be a lot of empty rooms in inside category.
  5. They were very unclear about penalty. When I asked if she meant 100% of what we paid for room she said yes. Our “kids” are 23 & 21 so that shouldn’t have been an issue. I’m just dumbfounded that they wouldn’t want to sell another room. Also, I wasn’t looking for any refund on 1st room. Just wanted to move 2 passengers out.
  6. We are sailing on Sunday. We have a mini-suite with large balcony for 4 people (3rd & 4th passenger were free with exception of port fees, etc.). I called both my agent and NCL directly regarding moving 2 of the passengers out of the room and paying for a new cabin for them. I was told that there is a penalty involved with doing this. I mentioned that I am not asking to cancel the original reservation, that I just want to book another room (pay for it) and move 2 guests to that room. I was told that there would be significant penalties involved (by both the TA and NCL directly). I asked what the penalties would be on the direct NCL call and was told 100%. Does this make sense? Why would they not want to book another available room?

    Bermuda food tour?

We did the Sip and Savor food tour with Nakia. Highly recommend.
  9. Leaving in 2 days, notified today all Haven bids & mini suite spa denied. All were in poor range, and they showed as sold out, so it was expected. Bidding up from a BA. Bid $750pp H9; $600 pp H7; $650 pp H5; $110 pp Spa Mini Suite. Previously posted that the bids I put in for my in-laws from a guaranteed balcaony stateroom to a mid ship mini suite $75 pp was accepted about 4 weeks out.
  10. I paid $199 in advance for 7 day. I think it’s $219 on ship.
  11. I helped my in-laws put in an upgrade bid from a guarantee balcony (they were assigned all the way forward deck 10) to a mini suite about 3 weeks ago for the Escape, Sept 30th to Bermuda. They bid $110 pp (upper poor range) and their bid was accepted today - moving to deck 9 mid ship mini suite. I have bids in on a few Haven options - but not holding out much hope as they are sold out.
  12. Where do you go on embarkation to try to get the pass?
  13. I questioned that in past and some OBC’s don’t show up until on ship. Bring your OBC confirmation info with you just in case.
