  1. Does anyone know if the balconies between staterooms can be opened on the Nieuw Statendam? Thank you.

  3. We are sailing on the Nieuw Statendam on March 31st and can't seem to find out what nights are the Gala nights. Travel agent hasn't been able to find out as well. Any ideas on where this information may be? Thank you.
  4. We have been to St Maarten many times. Temptation is a very nice restaurant near Maho. Family owned and operated and is where we always have our anniversary dinner. You will not be disappointed! Grand Case has several nice restaurants as well.
  5. So nice to read of your adventures. One day we will make it to Alaska, the cooler climate has never appealed to us, but we have yet to hear one person say anything but wonderful things about Alaska. You are so lucky to have Philip on board, not only is he a great personnel shopper, he is also fun to dance with! Continue to enjoy!
  6. Enjoy the (2) sea days! I love the slower pace at the end of a cruise. We will catch up with you and Terry soon!
  7. Thanks for the insight on the happenings on the Spirit! All the glitches aside, you will have a lovely time and enjoy the crew as I know myself they are some of the loveliest I've encountered. Continue to enjoy your journey and I'll be lurking!
  8. Didn't know the Ectasy had an owner's suite. Agreed, too much to upgrade!
  9. Absolutely not within walking distance! But Sunset Beach Bar is not to be missed!
  10. We just came back from St Kitts and visited both beaches. Reggae is farther out but both are nice. We found that we enjoyed being at Shipwreck as a personal preference. Reggae provides free Wi-Fi while Shipwreck does not. Hope this helps.
  11. Now I am concerned about our Silversea Med cruise next year September/October 2013. We have waited years to go and found a cruise with ports that we have looked forward to. Missing any of them and/or dealing with sketchy weather would be problematic. Would it be advisable to consider changing to another time of year for our first Med cruis?. We realize that weather can never be a guarantee but if it is a pattern for this time of year perhaps we should consider that. This far out would be much easier to make a change. Thanks for any advice from those of you who are familiar with this area and time of year.
  12. I have no doubt you will love the Whisper. We were on the 10 day FLL - Barbados prior to the Barbados - NY cruise. She was wonderful. A few glitches, but certainly nothing I haven't experienced on any other cruise. The internet would be great in the staterooms. Hoping that comes in time. Still reminiscing about the great time we had on Whisper. Enjoy!:)
  13. No doubt they were real! Thanks for the review KaraokeQueen! We have only sailed Silversea and the Paul Gauguin and loved them. Might be time for us to try another line so that we can experience a different venue. Already scouring the cruise lines for a Med cruise. I hear it is wonderful. PS - You sing very well Karaoke!
  14. We are also on this cruise. We took a little later flight arriving around 11:30 so we could hopefully embark when we get there. If not, we will be waiting with you!
