Sailing for 8 nights on the Eclipse in May. My wife says the menus are showing on the app and no lobster. Seems to soon to me for menus but our cruise last Feb on the Beyond had lobster and we were on the Odyssey last month and had lobster.

We sailed on the Beyond and heard nothing but clearly some cabins do have the noise issue. My question would be what as Celebrity done to fix the issue on future E Class and what have they done or plan to do for the Beyond.

Thanks for the info. We could be ok with trip to EWR. Out hotel has free shuttle from there so that is something to consider. Looks like shared shuttle is $59 pp. Guess we will way that agains a Lyft or Uber.

We are flying into LGR the day before cruise out on NJ in May. What is the best way for 2 to get from LGR to a hotel in NJ? Would it be better to get to NYC Penn Station and take the train over? Seems like we did this years ago. We could also stay in NYC if that was a better option. Does Celebrity offer any kind of transportation?

We stayed last week in the Tru Downtown Ft Lauderdale. Hotel was clean and nice. Price was about $220. No Airport shuttle but they do have a private cruise shuttle for $15 pp that runs ob the hour. We took a Uber from hotel to the 17th street area the night before. Ate at Outback and walked Total Wine for wine to take on the cruise and took the Uber back. Uber was about $15 each way. I liked it better than the Airport hotels.

We returned from our cruise Sunday with a 2 pm flight home. We took our time leaving the ship and were one of the last few off at about 920. We arrived at the Southwest Terminal at about 9:45 and were told they don’t accept luggage to check until 2 hours before the flight. There was several hundred people sitting on the floor or standing waiting. I had never heard of only 2 hours early but found a nice SW person who said with some many cruisers arriving early they don’t have the capacity in their system to handle all the early luggage so that is the rule. I was not happy but then she said go back outside and curb check your luggage and they will take it. We went out and checked our bags left a nice tip, went through security quickly with pre check and found a nice place to kill time with food and drink. Apparently the curb check porters sort and hold the luggage in their area and then give it to the airline in their 2 hour windows. All of bags made it home. I was thinking if most people sitting and standing around knew they could curb check they would be doing it.

Just as a follow up. We had decided on taking the Brightline train for $29 ea, butt 2 days before our trip the fare jumped to $49 ea, when you add the short Uber from PBI to the Brighline station it would be about $110. Instead we use found a Uber for $58 total. Driver was very nice and it was a great 40 min ride.

You book SAS on line. They will call you before pick up. If you need to talk ask them for a call on line. I have used them 3 times and they are very good and reliable.

Royal has your luggage tags with you travel documents on line. You need to print them off. You then fold them and stable them to your bags before boarding. the Amazon holders are nice you can put the tag inside and attach to your bags but they are not required.

We sail Feb 3. Love you review. I am disappointed in the 300 Lb limit on North Star. Yes I am a little over that but a thing like that is designed for total weight of all the people not 1 person so I don’t see what difference it makes. Other than that the ship looks great. I will say I don’t understand why they went with 2 single pkugs and not a duplex. If I use my 3-1 adapter I will only be able to use 1 of them.

I have made flight before 11 from FLL coming in at Port of Miami. You should be ok . If you walk off you will be off the ship and through customs before 8 and at Mia by 830. If you cannot walk off self assist you need to tell the cruise line you have an early flight and need a very early bag group.

With a family 5 I think your best value would be to get 2 connected side by side rooms or just 2 rooms next to each other or even across the hall from Ea hall from each other. To do that you would need to list 1 adult for each cabin and divide the kids. For kids the Oasis class ships will offer the most things to do. I don’t think the Allure has the water slides yet. To break even on the drink package you need to drink 6-8 drinks per day per person to break even so it is probably not good value for you. in my opinion I would research your cruise and then you agent to book it. They might have group rates to save you some money and throw in some perks. It is much easier to deal with an agent than the cruise line and it cost you no more money.

You don’t have to take a Royal Excursion to get to JVD. Check the other Excursion companies there is several that offer excursions at most ports world wide. Excursioneer is one of the. We just found some others off our ship on the cruise board for our cruise and did a group charter. Cost less and we got 5 hours instead of 3. Check with Aristocrat.

After my cruise in Feb I will be 9 points short of Diamond. I knew I can get double points for a single. Just wanted to confirm you guys are saying I can get 3 points for a single junior suite?

We had Enough Delta points for LGR and No great Newark option.

We need to fly into LGR a day early. My question is where to stay and best way to To NJ & Port we have a bunch of Hilton points so can stay anywhere. Is is better to stay in NYC and then Uber to port or better to go from LGR to A hotel in Newark for the night? I know you can actually take a train from Peen station NYC to NJ pretty cheap if we stay in the city. Any suggestions?

Vancouver is not an issue Princess runs the Discovery, and the and Edge will be running some out of Vancouver next year. Seems like you could make a ship similar in size to the Edge just maybe 2 decks shorter to fit under the bridges.

I purchased my 200 shares RCL stock when it was about $34 and way down because it was way under valued and the stock credit was a nice perk. I had been on cruises and seen full ships. I tried to convince by brother and sister to buy some but their investment advisors told them it was risky. My thought was it would be back into the 70's by now. Instead it has taken off. Best investment I have ever made.

I tried to upgrade just my wife but it wants me to. I am a beer drinker so I don’t need the upgrade. Any recommendations?

Why don’t you hire a dog sitter that either stays at your house or comes over 3-4 times a day. That way your dog is separated and you go on the cruise. Much cheaper than losing the cruise. Just look for pet sitters.

Knee scooters are the best. My wife struggled with crutches but did great with the knee scooter. I don’t know what they rent for but you can buy one on Amazon for under $100.

Very tragic! Teens and make poor choices and it hard for parents to be everywhere. Years ago we took a Spring Break trip to FL with our 2 teen daughters who each brought a friend. On the way down we stopped for the night a hotel. Our room had a bedroom that we took and the girls stayed in the living area with the sofa bed etc. About midnight there was a knock on the door and it was the night watchman. He said there was a boy on the outside of our balcony. Turned out the kid went from balcony to balcony to see the girls. We were 3rd floor. Could have had a similar outcome. Scared me.
