  1. I have had this lounge in both Skywalkers and in Club Fusion, on various ships. It has always been great! Love the food. I sure hope this perk will continue in the future.
  2. Thanks, all, for the good words about using iPad🙂📱🌞
  3. I am a long time Princess cruiser, but I have never been on a Medallion cruise. My question is: will this work with the newest iPad, or do I need to get a new iPhone? I would like to just use my iPad, but I can get something else if necessary. Thanks in advance for your insight and advice.
  4. Wow! Would have loved to hear the Air Force One program! Also the L.A. Coroner's Office program. Thanks for this posting:)
  5. Princess always has good port lectures on sea days (I don't mean shopping). Others have mentioned this, too. Evening shows in the Princess theater are always good, and they appeal to all ages. I would go! PS - I am sorry to hear about the crime concerns in South America. Thanks to those who have mentioned this, so that appropriate precautions can be taken.
  6. At Crown Grill, I always have Silverado Sauvignon Blanc with fish or seafood. Fantastic! Also at Crown Grill, with steak or lamb chops, I have Silverado Cabernet. I have also had the much more expensive Opus One. While Opus One is quite good, very smooth, I didn't think it was all that much better than Silverado. Before my cruise was cancelled last March, I was planning to try Jordan Cabernet and Chappellet Merlot.
  7. I am sure that fond memories are in the minds of many, from these ships. Good times, too! I know they were not like our new ships, but in their day...
  8. OP - Thanks for this post. What an unusual and seldom seen topic. I learned so much by reading the article. The pictures were sobering! Makes me thankful for all of the nice cruises I have been so fortunate to enjoy.
  9. Great picture of the Grand! Thanks for posting! I love the views from those aft facing cabins.
  10. Thanks for the great picture of the Star and presumably The Captain of the Rowboat:)
  11. I have been on 14 Alaska cruises, all on Princess Grand Class ships. The Grand Class ships are wonderful for Alaska: the sheltered promenade decks are perfect for viewing the scenery. I have sailed from Seattle, Vancouver, and San Francisco on: Grand, Star, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, and Diamond. (Oooh, I forgot. I have also been to Alaska on Dawn and Sun, both of which also had nice sheltered promenade decks. I have also been to Alaska on the original Star, in addition tot he current Star.) Go for it! Princess Alaska cruises are wonderful!
  12. I enjoyed watching this episode of Columbo! Enjoyed seeing the original Sun Princess, too. The original Sun Princess was my first cruise, back in 1988. So fun to see the ship again!
  13. The original Sun Princess was my very first cruise, back in 1988. Dinners in the dining room were fab! Pasta was delicious! The itinerary was: Miami - St. Martin - Martinique - St. Thomas - concluding in San Juan. What a trip!
  14. Great pics! Thanks for posting! As mentioned, it makes me want to cruise!
  15. The OP mentioned Honolulu. I love the Honolulu shore excursions! Pearl Harbor, Battleship Missouri, Pacific Aviation Museum, all great! Not to mention the flight seeing tour, allowing a bird's eye view of Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona. I love it! Count me in!
  16. I was up at the Internet Cafe in the evening, several times, last fall. It was always quiet and subdued. Being under it should be fine. The Pacific Princess is great!
  17. I should add that it was super nice having easy access to the buffet, just one deck up. Fantastic!
  18. We had mini 8010 last fall. It was great! Totally quiet and peaceful. You can't go wrong with a Pacific Princess mini!
  19. I agree with Tony, about not drinking IN the pool. Thanks, Tony!
  20. I wonder, though, if drinking 15 or more drinks in a day is good for anyone's body? Whether one is tipsy or not? Having said that, I would like to say that I do drink a bit of wine or beer. I'm not one who totally abstains. But let me add that I used to drink quite a bit more. Over the last couple of years, I have cut back to just a sip or two of wine or beer on Saturday and Sunday nights. In the process, I have lost 15 pounds, without trying. Think it over...
  21. The Seattle Airport Marriott is a super nice hotel, with lots of parking. Not sure about the fee. It would be worth it to call them.
