  1. Just off the Vision. There are no more plastic water bottles onboard. They have been replaced by cans of Dasani with a few extra ingredients...magnesium sulfate, potassium chloride, and salt. We were told this was going to be a fleet-wide change. I found the cans to taste like tin and didn't think they were refreshing. I much prefer just plain water, don't need the extra ingredients, especially salt!

  2. Enjoy her while you can. She is being transferred to partner line, but no date set yet....could be a year or more...but it is a done deal.

Officers on board were not happy about things not being repaired or updated, but RCI is not going to put money in her now.

I just hope to still be able to make my January cruise with her before she leaves. We enjoyed our time on board this month.

I suspected they were going to sell her and many of the crew felt the same way. I sailed on her sister ships, Vision and Grandeur, and there is a huge difference in the way they were kept up to date!

  3. Angelina, they offer lots of trivia sessions, although there were some passengers who had been on several back-to-back cruises and knew the questions and answers. One in particular was a very sore winner and a sore loser! We spent a lot of time in the Schooner Bar where they had lots of games, trivia, music.

Depplep, having been on a Mediterranean cruise on the Serenade, you really don't spend a lot of time on the ship. The ship, however, is quite small and it does feel crowded. We do junior suites and it's the smallest JS we've ever had! We won't ever sail on this ship again and this is the first time we've ever said that!

  4. I am looking at booking Rhapsody. Reviews are good or bad, nothing in between. I am specifically interested in the casino. What is the overall experience. How large is the casino? What are table limit minimums. I play mostly 3 card poker, blackjack, and ultimate Texas hold'em.

We just got off Rhapsody and I would recommend looking at a different ship. She hasn't been fully refurbished in years! I really think RCCL is going to sell her - a lot of staff thinks so too!

The casino is very small. My DH loves Ultimate Texas Hold'em and it wasn't on this ship - apparently they are on larger ships.

  5. We just got off the Rhapsody and were very disappointed in the ship. The vast majority of the staff is amazing but the ship is in rough shape. If you go to the Schooner Bar, please tell Simon and Vivian that Karen, Mark, Dianne and John say hi and we miss them!

I hope you have a great time!

  6. my DH and I plan to travel with my two daughters. We have booked an aft balcony that definitely has two lounge chairs. 8092

We are considering upgrading to a grand suite, but they all seem to be in the front of the ship.

My concerns are mainly seasickness and noise? And also with a grand suite does it only come with One lounge chair?

    thanks.

We are just off the Vision and this was our cabin. It's a great size for two people but would be very small for four. The bathroom was small as well. There was no noise as the cabin is directly under the relaxation room for the spa, however, there is a lot of motion and some vibration.

  7. We had MTD reservations for 8 p.m. on deck 4 in the Grande Dining Room. Like I mentioned in my initial post, it was very slow but the food was fantastic!

After dinner, we headed to the Globe and Atlas Pub where Aaron McDonald performed every evening. We met Aaron on our hotel transport to the dock. He is new to RCCL and this was his first gig as a soloist. He plays acoustic guitar and sings. He is very talented and very eager to take suggestions and learn new songs. We went to see him several nights during the cruise.
