  1. My husband & I are booked in a sky suite for next Aug (hopefully) for a 12 day cruise. We have been several times in a Haven on NCL.

We would've stayed with NCL, however the cost was the same for seven days on NCL versus 12 for Celebrity. I'm wondering if any one can tell me how much of a difference between the sky suite & Haven suite?

  2. I was a little hasty in posting this. I just received my refund in my  credit card account.

    Thank you for the response.

Will take your advise on canceling reservation before I have to cancel another cruise again.

  3. I had to cancel my Carnival cruise for Dec. I did not book with Carnival, but a travel agent. I did however reserve & paid for dinner reservation on Carnival web site. My question is how do I receive a refund for those reservations? Do I call them about this situation?

My insurance says you have to notify the cruise line..I contacted NCL and they could only put him as a no show, I would have to contact my travel agent which I am waiting for a return call. Thank you all for your responses.

I notified my travel agent...They contacted NCL and cancelled my husband. She said if I did a no show the insurance would not pay...NCL is going to reimburse the taxes and fees. Now all I have to do is hope my husband has a speedy recovery & the insurance comes through.

Most people on CC , agree it's just better to do a no show! Whatever fees you have coming from the no show will be reimbursed.

its highly unlikely you will be charged single supplement, you've already paid for 2 people.

That may not stop some cruise lines from recalculating the fare and charging the single supplement along with keeping the original fare of the cancelled passenger. It's in most cruise contracts.

If I cancel I have a chance of getting a reimbursement from my insurance, but your saying I might have to pay a additional supplement to the cruise line if I do, so now I'm confused on to cancel or a no show. Perhaps my travel agent will no the right answer.

  7. I am cruising this Sunday with family and my husband is now to sick to join us...Do I notify NCL before the cruise or do it when we arrive? I prepaid gratiuity, so do I still pay for his even though he's not on the ship? It would of been just the two of us in the cabin.

  8. My husband & I will be on the Escape in the haven (separate cabin) with my brother, wife & nephew. We have the dining package as a promotion, but since my nephew is a third guest he does not receive it , so was wondering since I'm a platnium member if I could let my nephew use the certificate?

  9. We are booked in a Haven with the drink & dining packages that was included at the time of booking. A additional person was later added under a later promotion, so would like to know if he will also get those packages?

  10. I will be on the Dawn in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if I purchased future cruise certificates can I use them on a cruise already booked, but have not made final payment? I'm thinking they are only used for a deposit on a future cruise, but thought it might be worth asking.

  11. I will be on Brilliance tomorrow. I know you are allowed to bring on two bottles of wine, but was wondering if you have to carry it on or can I put in in my suitcase? I'm thinking I have to carry it on, but wanted to check.
