Just Back From a Nile Cruise: Time for a Comeback?

Great advert for Egypt but nothing about the ship. This Is Cruise Critic.

    Port Check-in (Sint Maarten)

Hello Kamfish642. We will be getting off as you are getting on. Pre cruise we are staying at Divi Little Bay for two nights.

I look forward to them targeting the audience here in the UK.

I fully understand the problems national laws present but sorry, but if they can't include all their customers then they shouldn't offer it to any. We are all - as in the world - paying for their marketing through the bookings we make. Some people might consider it racist! After all, if you're not American or Canadian ....

Why has Seabourn excluded most of the world from taking part and winning a holiday? We are not second class passengers. Why treat us like this?

Can RSSC or SS hold a candle?

Having sailed all three lines (and many more) I rate Regent first, SS second and Seabourn third. Not that I found that much difference between them. The food selection on Regent is outstanding. The dining room on Seabourn Odyssey is soulless.
  7. Try Regent. Best menu selection of any top cruise line, and we've been on them all. A whole page of 'always availables' with maybe half a dozen dishes of the day. As for the actual food itself, on Regent just like any ship it can vary day to day. One of my fondest food memories was on Azamara several years ago when the captain carved the suckling pig at lunchtime. It was delicious - and he was generous.

    Seabourn, Blenheim Palace Dinner.

My wife, Lady Maria, says we have been slighted by the lack of an invitation and we are no longer to give them the pleasure of our money. I'm frightened to reminder her we are booked on Seabourn again in January.

    Seabourn versus Regent

I'm a picky eater. Regent dinner menu best everyday and today only choices of any I have ever seen, and that includes Seabourn, Crystal and Silversea.

    Marco Polo for Sale

I read earlier on this thread that a company had been interested in buying MP to turn it into an old folks' home. We booked our cruise on MP because we had been told it was just that, but with different scenery every day!

We are booked on her 14 April, 2020 from Bristol around the British Isles!

Royal Caribbean to invest in Silversea Cruises.

Oh dear. Another line to be downgraded? Probably. We will see as we have enjoyed Silversea.

    Not good first impressions

You can take as much wine and spirits (and presumably water!) as you wish on-board Cunard for private consumption in your cabin. Did it last month: two bottles of whisky and eight bottles of wine for a 14 day cruise. Had to buy more :loudcry::loudcry::loudcry:

    Recent Seabourn Air experience?

Will be on Odyssey next January in the Caribbean. Seabourn's business class fare was over £7,000 for two people from London to St Maarten on American via New York. Air France via Paris for two - £4,086. And a shorter flight. Pays to shop around.
