  1. Good to know. There are a ton of CLS available on my cruise. Only a handful have been taken. I see the owner's suite bid is the same as the CLS suite bid, so I'll probably put an offer in on that too. I'm not crazy about deck 6 or 7 for a Grand Suite, but if I get it at the price I bid, I'll happily take that. We currently have a JS on deck 8. I am wondering what happens if the price of my cruise comes down, and I take a CLS or even a GS before a bid win. Does the upgrade nullify any bids you make on that class and lower?
  2. I feel like we got a really good deal on our junior suite. $3000 for 2 of us. The junior suites are now showing as $3393 a PERSON and that's only for junior suite guarantee. It kind of had me thinking they can make a heck more on the suite I'm in, if I bid enough to satisfy it on their end.
  3. Thank you. So there seems to be some success with minimum bids. I got the price difference per person to help me figure out my bid. Right now on my upcoming cruise, the Crown Loft Suite is actually about $15 cheaper than a Grand Suite. I'm kicking myself because six months ago, a Grand Suite was $2200 a person and now it's just over $4000 a person. Thanks for your help.
  4. Totally get that. We want to bid on the Crown Loft Suite and Grand Suite on Allure. We are happy with any of those locations. I wouldn't necessary want to be AFT facing in CLS, but heck if i win that bid, I'll take it happily!
  5. Hi there...first time doing a Royal Up Bid. I got an email from RC. Any tips on bidding? In terms of the "meter" from weak to strong, are there recommendations? I know it's all subjective, but for those of you who have won bids, especially multiple times, is there any advice you can share?
  6. What time is AM schedule? I prefer morning, but my wife likes to sleep in on sea days and doesn't usually leave cabin until 11 or so.
  7. I love the wow band because I find my hands full quite often LOL. Two cups of coffee, two plates of pizza, two water bottles, etc. LOL I didn't see Allure listed. It sort of surprises me with the other Oasis class ships being listed. Was that an oversight or does Allure just not have them?
  8. My wife has a condition in which she really avoids sauces, salt, and certain foods. We always coordinate with dining staff and she orders every evening for the next day. They make it very easy for her.
  9. There can sometimes be a delay into the port. Once you get past the attendants, the line moves pretty fast. We spent 10 or 15 minutes getting off 95 ramp and waiting to enter the port. Parking was very easy once inside though!
  10. Thank you. So $8500 isn’t a good price for two people. I wondered.
  11. It’s been 3 years since this thread was discussed. I’m seeing Crown Loft Suites on my Allure cruise, around same prices as Grand Suites. Just a little bit. When I first started looking at a Grand Suite it was $4600 for two people. Now it’s near double that. The Crown Loft Suite is around $8500 for 2 people. It’s just a little bit more by a few dollars for the Grand Suite. Is that a decent price or are the other prices quoted in this thread still about the same as a “good” or “great” price? ($4000-$6000)
  12. Okay, thanks for the feedback and the reviews LOL. I'll probably save the money. We will see. I won't make a reservation, but if they are open when I walk by, maybe I'll chance it. LOL
  13. Ok. I don’t see lunch reservations being available. That’s why I wondered if we needed reservations. I’ll keep an eye out though. We are over two months away.
  14. I didn’t think of the app. It seems they are opened for lunch on sea days only. I only see reservations in the app for dinner on my particular cruise. Does anyone know if reservations are needed for lunch?
  15. I noticed in my cruise planner there is a place to make reservations to eat at Sabor’s for dinner, but not for lunch. Is Sabor’s open for lunch and if so, do you have to make a reservation for that also?
  16. I heard it’s almost impossible to book Izumi hibachi once on board; at the very least very difficult. That’s why I got the advice to book it online and then rebook it under my 3 night dining plan once on board.
  17. Are we able to just cancel on board if they do that? I don’t mind if it turns into OBC.
  18. How are they handling the situation? Are they telling people they can’t use their dining plan for it if they booked online? Just curious what you heard.
  19. I noticed the same thing right after Thanksgiving. I could have had a grand suite for $2500 a person but I felt it was too much. We ended up with a junior suite for $1400 a person. Prices have more than doubled. It’s $4600 a person for a grand suite and $3400 a person for a junior suite guarantee. I was thinking of trying for the royal up bidding but I wasn’t really even willing to pay $2500 a person. It’s out of reach. I’m glad I got the junior suite though.
  20. I hope that’s not the case because that’s what I did. How are they not allowing it? I made a reservation for the hibachi on night five and I plan on converting it to my 3 night dining plan once I get on board.
  21. I see in my cruise planner $103.99 for a 50 min Swedish massage. I’m also hoping to use a diamond discount on our massages too. Edited to add: I just double checked and it seems only day 1 is $103.99. The other days are $148.99 a day. I’m glad I saw your post.
  22. When do they begin taking reservations on embarkation day? What time does it start?
  23. Are there usually sale prices associated with embarkation day? for massages?
