Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Please give me a moment, friends...mourning the passing of my treasured Raspberry Pistachio Vacherin.
  2. Yep. There is cost and there is value. If there is higher cost and high value, that often wins out for me High cost and low value - nope. Similarly, low cost and low value won't work.
  3. Yes. That is all I can see as well. I really think it's a Celebrity Edge issue.
  4. I actually did this with a side load using an APKmirror program it works perfectly. No harm to my tablet in the least. I'm definitely not very tech savvy and it was easy for me to do. Took just a few minutes. Lesson learned--Do not delete this "old" app ever on the tablet.
  5. Yep. Tried that. I ended up having to side-load it.
  6. I guess mine is on "go" right now. LOL. Thanks.
  7. You know, it's funny. I was able to see this all a few months ago, and folks on the FB site whose cruises are in August say they can see all the menus. (I realize that those menus may or may not be accurate for the sailing.)
  8. Hi everyone. My cruise on the Edge is just a month away. The "Dining" section on the app takes me to the pages for the various dining venues. It shows the locations of each place, but there seems to be no link available for any of the menus. It has been this way for some time. I checked to see if I had the latest version of the app--I'm running 1.39.2, from 3 March. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling, but this didn't help at all. It's the same on my husband's phone. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have a solution to this? I'm wondering is this is ship dependent. Thanks in advance.
  9. We were on the Equinox in December. The Royal suite was refreshed, but not in the blue/grey color scheme Edge class and and the other extensively refurbed ships, like the Summit. Still no USB ports anywhere, and a dearth of outlets. We had to have an extension cord from the desk to the nightstand taped down to the floor in the bedroom for my husband's CPAP.
  10. I've looked at lots of pictures and videos, but I just can't make out whether or not there is an outlet next to the bed. My husband has a CPAP that we need to plug in, and the Edge and the Apex have lots of outlets, making that super easy. Thanks for your help.
  11. We had the same problem on the Edge when she was new. It kept me up so many nights. We sailed on her more recently in the same cabin, and the problem seems to have been "fixed." Maybe these ships just need some time for all the parts to settle?
  12. Thanks for these wonderful photos. Very kind of you to post them. I agree that the desserts are the best part of the meal in Luminae--I love that Boulud Vacherin! But I also prefer Blu to Luminae in general. Their bread tray is excellent with those nice spreads, I love their drinks menu and the service is so welcoming.
  13. We will be travelling in a RS on the Equinox soon. Is it possible to get room service from Luminae or Blu for breakfast and/or dinner?
