  1. Thought about 2 balconies, but we were hoping for the suite experience as part of a grad gift for my daughter who graduated high school last summer. Doesn't hurt to ask RC I guess. I suspect they will argue that the GS is considered an upgrade over the VP suite, at least from a price point perspective.
  2. Our June 2021 Indy cruise (group of 5 booked in VP suites) got cancelled, and we were moved to Navigator into a 1-BR GS. Our travel agent contacted Royal who told us all 5 of us will in the GS , one of us sleeping on a rollaway. Looking at the youtube footage of the Navigator 1-BR GS, there doesn't seem to be much room for a rollaway in the GS, unless you put it in the bar/closet area. Has anyone done this? Also looking at the Navigator deck plan when doing a dummy booking in which some of the GS are marked a having a "3rd pullman bed" available. Do those room have both a sofa bed (to sleep 2) and a pullman bed?
  3. We (total of 5 of us) were originally booked on the 2021-06-28 in a VP suite, which was cancelled. We were moved to the Navigator for the same dates. Just logged on tonight and saw that they assigned us to 1582 on the Navigator which is a GS. Because we are a party of 5, RC split our reservation into two reservations - both of them are assigned 1582. Was elated to see this, however I then saw that 1582 only sleeps 4, whereas we are a party of 5. Interesting to see how they handle this. Maybe they will also assign us one of the interior staterooms right across the hall, or [very very wishful but unrealistic thinking] another GS :)
  4. Any idea when they announce sailings first June and July 2022?
  5. My Indy cruise for July 2020 recently changed its itinerary, removing a stop at Labadee with Nassau. I had previously booked parasailing and jetskiing on Labadee, and my TA told me that they would cancel and refund me for those. However on my cruise calendar, those parasailing and jet ski ressies now appear on my CocoCay schedule. Does this mean that they will somehow do those excursions on CocoCay? Or is this just a delay in RC providing me with a refund?
  6. Yes I contacted RCI and they said that despite what the pass says, that it was valid the entire day. I didn’t ask what the exact hours were (so don’t know how early we can start) but I assumed this to mean that it could be used as long as the water park was open for the day
  7. I'm on Indy that is docked at Coco Cay on the same day as Symphony. That's a lot of passengers.
  8. Looking for Western mediterranean itineraries to Italy based ports for April-June 2021, and see that it is mainly Harmony departing out of Barcelona. Other than one that looks to be a reposition from Rome to Venice on Rhapsody I don't see ones on smaller based ships that sail for a week (we can't take more than 9 days off from work). Do you think they will add any more European itineraries ?
  9. Europe itineraries now no longer appear for April to June 2021 edit : nvm seems to disappear then reappear
  10. We have a party of six currently booked into a panoramic ocean view suite. The only higher priced suite that would accomodate all of us will be a 2-BR Grand Suite. I've read that if bidding, that the bid charges would only be for two passengers. So to confirm, if I get an opportunity to bid for a 2-BR Grand suite and it is accepted (for argument's sake, say I bid $500) would I only be charged for that bid x 2 people (i.e. 2 x $500 = $1000) that would allow all 6 of us to stay in the upgraded suite?
  11. Anyone know where to find similar schedules for other ports? Tried cruisemapper but they do not have any RC ships listed for spring 2021 as of yet.
  12. Somewhat related question: we are traveling with one of my daughter’s friends who is 17. Can we sign her waivers or do her parents have to do it beforehand ?
  13. Whoops should have qualified I'm looking for itineraries with Italy-based ports, and that the non-Oasis class ships continue to sail Western Med (for spring 2021)
  14. Thanks you confirmed what I suspected. Looks like the same for Quantum class ships (although I don't see any from that class are currently sailing in Europe). Hoping a non-Oasis ship sails the Western Mediterranean.
  15. Planning a special anniversary cruise to Europe and hoping to book a nice cabin with an OV balcony. Because itineraries for our desired travel time (spring 2021) to Europe have yet to be released I don't know what class of ship we will end up booking. Similar to how certain OV balcony staterooms on other classes of ships are covetted (for example, the corner aft staterooms on Freedom-, Voyageur, Radiance-class ships) are there any unique OV balcony staterooms on Oasis class ships? Other than the spacious OV balcony staterooms I don't see any on the deck plans that look to be different because all the aft cabins look to be high-priced suites.
  16. Waiting anxiously for Europe itineraries for May-June 2021. Do the itineraries tend to be somewhat similar from year to year? Looking to sail a Western Mediterranean cruise and hoping for itineraries with more Italian ports then what I’m currently seeing .
  17. Speaking from the perspective as a member of a party of 5 it's the issue of everyone needing to use the bathroom at similar times: upon awakening, before dinner (especially formal night) and at night. And this is not even considering when someone has to go for a number 2!
  18. We will have a party of 6 in a panoramic ocean view suite on our Indy booking this July, including two teenage boys and two teenage girls. From what I can tell, there is only one shower in this suite. Our cabin is in the same area where the Spa and Gym are located and I understand there are showers located in that area. With so many of us in one suite, and with only one shower, will they let us use the showers in the gym/spa area?
  19. We are on the Indy, docked the same day at Coco Cay as Symphony in July 2020. We dock at 7, and the Symphony at 10. We have water park passes booked, so we will plan to do the park early (before Symphony arrives) and then perhaps go back later when I anticipate most people may go back to their ships after 3 or so. In between we will either chill someplace on the island, or potentially even go back to the ship for a break from the sun. Do people share the same opinion as me it will be very crowded especially during late morning/early afternoon, such that especially if we come and go (for example, we may go back to the ship for a short while) finding seating will be a challenge? If so, I may try to book a cabin or beach bed. Also, does anyone know that if I book something, and then go back tot he ship, that I can go back onto the island and use the same Cabana?
  20. On our upcoming cruise we have a stop in both in Labadee and CocoCay, and now trying to decide what to book where. For those who have done both, what aspects of Labadee did you enjoy more than what you experienced on CocoCay?
  21. I just purchased what was described as a full day thrill park pass for Coco Cay for July when my ship Indy will be docked from 7 to 7. The description does not list specific hours for the pass, but on my cruise planner it lists 730-245 as the hours. Is this just a glitch in the cruise planner? I was hoping to be able to use the pass as late as possible .
