  1. Thanks for the replies. I did call them and changed the cruise to January 29th. I hope the Covid situation calms down a bit by then. I couldn't be happier with Luciano my vacation planner. Didn't cost a thing and I kept my $600.00 OBC. Great customer service from Carnival!
  2. Hi everyone. I have a question I should have the answer to but I don't. And I don't feel like calling Carnival right now. I have a cruise scheduled on the Mardi Gras November 6th that is fully paid for. Because the Covid crisis seems to be escalating I'd like to push this cruise out more towards February. Can I do this and what would it cost me? Anyone know?
  3. I'm going in November and I'll be all over that Cajun food. It's one of the reasons why I booked the ship. I booked well over a year ago and scored a cabin on the 16th deck. Because I didn't cancel when Covid hit I also received a $600.00 onboard credit which I will happily spend at Emeril's. I am so looking forward to this cruise.
  4. I haven't read through all the posts but I'm wondering if anyone, vaccinated or not, are worried how the Covid situation may be at the Port of Calls and the Islands.
  5. I have an Airbnb in the Smoky Mountains. The minute North Carolina opened up I was swamped with bookings and still am through the end of December. Trust me, people are antsy and want to get out there. When the cruise lines open they will also be swamped with bookings. If you can catch a deal right now go for it because they will be asking top dollar.
  6. I had only put down $200.00 on a Mardi Gras cruise. If I hang in there I'll get a $600.00 onboard credit. I'm not giving up. I don't think this industry will survive until we get a vaccine but it will happen. We will survive this. What does bother me are other people affected. How in the world are the people who live on those Caribbean Islands making it? They are almost 100% dependent on tourism, mostly cruises. I can't imagine the poverty. It's such a shame.

  8. I'm going on the Carnival Mardi Gras come hell or high water. I can't wait. Really getting antsy here to get on a cruise.
  9. Is the November 14th inauguration date still on? Does anyone know? I have not been able to find any recent information.
  10. It's possible some of the entertainment bailed because they didn't want to risk catching the Coronavirus. I know I would have.
  11. The stock will go up the minute we see light at the end of the tunnel. Right now we are entering the tunnel.
  12. I just chatted with someone who is a travel agent mainly booking cruises and she was laid off Friday. She said the damage is massive. No one is booking. The only people going are those who have already paid in full.
  13. I took a cruise on February 2nd when people were just starting to get a bit nervous. Boy have things changed in the last month. I would never take a cruise now. I have one booked in December and hope the dust settles by then. What a shame for the cruise industry. I wonder how they will survive, and also how many cruise employees will lose their jobs.
  14. I've been a platinum member for years. After spending close to 40K on cruises I can't wait to get my plate of chocolate covered strawberries delivered to my cabin. ( Sarcasm). They should do better.
  15. I avoid cruising in March and April because of Spring Break. Tampa port is wonderful. Not the madhouse that Miami is.
  16. I'm leaving Sunday on a cruise out of Tampa and am not worried, however as time goes by and it gets worse I might get nervous. Everyone cruising soon should expect this email. 17. It will be my fourth time on the ship. It's my favorite because of the kooky decor. And I live an hour south of Tampa and that makes everything so easy.
  18. 3. Leaving on the Legend on Superbowl Sunday. Should be a fun experience.
  19. That's a joke. I better not see that in February on the Legend.
  20. Sounds like fun and an exciting way to start the cruise.
  21. I'll be on it in February for the fourth cruise. I like watching everyone hold their breath when the ship goes under the Skyway Bridge. It looks like they clear it by inches.
  22. I'll be on the Legend February 2nd, 2020, Super Bowl Sunday. Do they do anything special for that day and where can I view the game on the ship besides my cabin and the sports bar? Also the ship seems to be packed. Is that the reason why?
  23. YES. It's always so enjoyable. I get the Huevos Rancheros. Yum.
  24. Your friend will be pleased to know that the vegetarian dishes in the MDR are wonderful. I tried them on a whim. Many of the chefs are from India and they know how to cook vegetarian dishes well.
