You will not need to test since you are flying to and from the US. You will, however, need to complete the ArriveCan App before you embark since you have a stop in Victoria.
Many thanks!

For the love of God, this is all so confusing. I am leaving and returning to the port in Seattle but stopping in Victoria. Do I need to take an onboard Covid test before getting back to Seattle and getting on my plane home or is that just for those whose cruise ends in Canada and then are flying back to the US?
-
This site allows any FDA test kit (whereas emed will not allow the free test kits I received. Just wondering if anyone has used them and their experience.

I booked a tour through Viator for Juneau. My husband will be using a wheelchair and i just made sure they could accommodate him before I booked

I got the Binax self test from the gov't for free but was told that I can't use these with eMed. I don't understand why. Now I have to buy the Binax Home test (not self test) if i want to use eMed. Makes no sense.

Yeah, this is a confusing mess. I will be on RC and there is nothing mentioned about them paying for any testing. How, exactly, are we supposed to get this testing done in another country while on a cruise ship? How are we to complete the forms without internet access? UGH

Weird that unvax can test 3 days before and vaxed has only 2 days.
People can test neg. get on a plane and get covid from the airport. RCCL please drop testing.
Agree! It's an imposition to get the testing done and it solves nothing.

I've done more than 50 flights with my Pride Go Go Sport and I've never, ever contacted the airline to get approval for my scooter. I've never been denied boarding and my batteries have not been taken away. Maybe it's a Canadian thing?
OP, just make sure you have gel batteries and you won't have a problem.
You can rent a scooter in one city and have it picked up in another. When we cruised the Med in May, they brought the scooter to the ship in Rome and they picked it up 24 days later in Barcelona. We used Scootaround for the rental.
If you bring your own scooter, they will allow you to ride it to the plane's door and the baggage handlers will put it in the luggage hold. It's better if you fold the tiller down as it makes it easier to carry the scooter down the steps.
So, you never have to take the scooter apart at the gate? Just fold the tiller? The go go sport is the one I am considering but wasn't sure about getting to a plane with it.

Thanks for the replies

Are there any cruises to Alaska under 7 days? Haven't been able to find any. Everything seems to be 7 days at a minimum.

My friend and I have never had a problem getting a table for just the two of us. We always do "your time dining"

I always bring an over-the-door shoe holder with clear pockets for the bathroom door. The bathrooms have very little counter/shelf space and I can put all of my toiletries in the pocket ,easily viewable and reachable, out of the way. The shoe holder folds up and takes very little room in my luggage.

Did you research ahead or do anything in particular to make sure the excursions would be accessible?

Years ago I booked directly with the park. Might try that route

Re cabin doors - it all depends on the ship, however, if you want to not collapse it, you can shorten the Steering arm and turn sideways, or collapse it and lift inside. Not a problem.
yes, unless the grass is wet, it goes ok on grass
Thank you for the reply. So one would need to physically stand and lift it through some cabin doors? If so, that is not going to be feasible in my husband's situation if I were not with him.

Oh, was just asking in general. I cruise all different ships, mostly Carnival and RC

Does this scooter fit through the doors on non-handicap cabins? Have you used it on grass terrain?

Can anyone comment on scooters fitting through non-handicap cabin doors? Is this something that has to be carefully looked at when choosing a scooter?

I don't even see how this is avoidable in some cases. The overnight cruise stops in Havana leave at something like 6:00 a.m. so how would you even change your Cuban bills back to US dollars if there is no exchange open?
-
I'll be going on this cruise in September. For those of you that were in Havana on a Monday, did you find things were closed? I've read that the market is not open on Mondays, nor the Art pub. Anyone been to the Cabaret Las Vegas drag show. Kind of guessing that won't be going on on a Monday night either?
-
Haven't been yet but look into strawberry tours. They operate on a "tip as you see fit" amount and they have great reviews. It's what I plan on doing for my September trip. Or...you can always ditch the family and do what YOU want to do, lol.

Was on the Conquest end of June/early July. Plenty of entertainment to be found, in fact, we spent several times running from one to catch the next in a different area of the ship. If they still have the same two female production show singers from my cruise, you will be completely wowed. Can't remember the last time I heard such phenomenal singing and I really couldn't decide which of the two had a better voice. I thought is so odd that Carnival would put two such talented singers on the same ship.

Don't miss it, unless you're easily offended and in that case don't even think about going. Played three times. Each different and each one has been progressively more x-rated. Not offered on every ship, every cruise.
Will RCCL accept this proctored covid testing...?
