  1. Is there any crystal ball prognostication on when the '23 British Isles itineraries may be released?
  2. I suspect the no shoes, no shirt, no service idiom is due to Health Department regulations for eating establishments. If a business chooses to post a sign saying no concealed weapons allowed, a person has the right to disarm themself and enter or choose not to do business with them. However the U.S. Government cannot order people carrying a gun not to enter the business. Getting back to the Vaccination passport; isn't that a different government requirement than just showing proof of vaccination you received with the shot? If a cruise line says you can only sail with them if you
  3. Oh so Canada, eh? Your posts don't sound like you're an ally of the U.S. Envious maybe. Blame your government for not obtaining the Vaccine. Why didn't they contract sooner with the pharmaceutical companies?
  4. "Obesity is a complex disease involving an excessive amount of body fat. Obesity isn't just a cosmetic concern. It is a medical problem that increases your risk of other diseases and health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and certain cancers. There are many reasons why some people have difficulty avoiding obesity. Usually, obesity results from a combination of inherited factors, combined with the environment and personal diet and exercise choices. Obesity is diagnosed when your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or higher. For most people, BMI pr
  5. How preposterous a statement. And then Laughing????? Your statement reeks of hubris. You do not take into account the distribution or underlying reasons for the tragic deaths. There were countless deaths attributed to Covid which were not the main cause of death because medical facilities and practitioners received extra federal funding if the COD was listed as covid. Or how about the population of the U.S. compared to the population of your smaller country, which you obviously don't disclose in your profile. BTW beginning tomorrow, anyone age 18+ in FL is elig
  6. We booked an Edge S1 last June for a Jan '21 7 day Caribbean cruise which we lifted and shifted in November at protected pricing. The Apex cruise, also 7 day, in Feb '22 is $5,481 more than we're paying which is also more than double the price. Would you book it now? I certainly wouldn't. Actually I would have asked for a refund if they hadn't price protected based on the then current November pricing.
  7. Do you believe it's just another case of marketing corporate pandering (insert your cause here) to appear woke as many corporations seem to be doing in the new PC environment?
  8. Too bad you missed their double category free upgrade that expired the end of February. Regent raises their rates the beginning of every month. Everyone's pricing is crazy now because of all the covid cancelled cruises eating up future inventory.
  9. I understand the need to cruise again because I am in the same boat. But is it cruise at any cost with costly flight worth a 7 day cruise to satisfy that? When I looked at available St Maarten cruises, it appeared that the TA's locked up a lot of the cabins before they opened it to loyal XX cruisers. I have a total of four booked cruises thru Jan 2003 and can't wait to begin them. I'm hoping they get the bugs worked out by our first Apex cruise in Feb '22.
  10. If you're considering a suite category, you might take a look at Regent to compare pricing and inclusions. Their all inclusive, not always included, has excursions in all ports of call and airfare with transfers as well as grats, WiFi, specialty restaurants and premium liquor.
  11. Wow you have quite a dilemma. Too much angst for me. Sounds like you really, really want to make it work without much help from the cruise line. Is it possible they're doing all this to force you to give up the attractive rates so you have to re-book at prevailing rates? Good luck figuring out what's best for you. I would have pulled the plug and waited for all the dust to settle. Good thing you're not me. lol
  12. I would actually contact both agents that emailed you. Ask the same questions and determine which one you prefer to work with according to how they answered your queries and your gut feeling. See if you click with one more than the other.
  13. But if you continued to participate, you'd get one millipede step closer to the next level! 🤣
  14. I hope you will enjoy the aft view as much as we have on several ships. My DW's favorite was aft through the Panama Canal. Mine, besides the wake, was when we were docked in Bermuda. I've attached a panoramic picture of the view from the Summit aft cabin. The other pics are of Pina Colada, who hitched a ride on our balcony, enjoying the wake with me. We have an Apex S1 aft corner booked next February. Can't wait. Our first XX suite too.
  15. I suggest taking various screen shots throughout the webcast in case you have to prove you were there.
  16. I wonder how many of the Millie cabins are already being held by TAs for their groups and not available?
  17. So then what is the relevance that the first person was a teacher or in your example is lawyer? It's not.
  18. Do you really believe that Celebrity cares about those concerns you expressed? Those who don't want to cruise under Celebrity's conditions won't. However at 40-60% capacity of their smallest class, Celebrity probably believes they'll be able to fill that regardless. It's about getting back to revenue.
  19. There is a national database in the U.S. of people who have received their vaccinations with pertinent information including brand, dosage, how administered and date. My covid vaccinations and flu shots showed up on my Dr's patient portal without me even telling them. The flu shots were administered at CVS & Publix. The state administered covid ones at a parking garage in the Convention Center. Perhaps the cruise lines will make you sign a release to access that insurance national database information for confirmation. If the Government, Medicare or your insurance is paying f
  20. Guess you can cross off the Virgin Islands too then. 😄
  21. Yes. We're members of the double shot club and are booked for a February '22 Apex sailing. Since we'll be in a SS for the first time, I don't care if we don't get off the ship. Just want to sail again to see what the E class is all about first hand.
  22. Here's a thread with responses on the higher level suites from January. Enjoy. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2769681-edge-suites-iconic-penthouse-edge-villa-and-royal/?tab=comments#comment-60699199
  23. But it will take two years longer to recover the revenues. Do you believe Celebrity could have all their ships sailing by December and will the fares remain higher than average through 2023? Carnival Corp CEO sees minimum of two more tough years for cruise industry: FT BY Reuters — 1:38 AM ET 03/14/2021 (Reuters) - Carnival Corp Chief Executive Arnold Donald anticipates at least two more tough years for the cruise industry, which is unlikely to return to pre-pandemic levels until at least 2023, the Financial Times reported on Sunday. The cruise compa
