  1. Thankx, I can do a tub/shower but usually prefer no tub. However I did take a bath on our Regent cruise in May so we'll see. Don't worry, I didn't ask the butler to scrub my back. roflmao There was no tub on our September Regent cruise. However their bathrooms are much larger and nicer than Azamara. I hate AZ's small showers. But I don't select a sailing based upon the bathroom. lol
  2. Well I recently moved my Club World Owner's Suite from the May 2023 Venice embarkation to a Caribbean Club World Owner's Suite embarking December 2024. Not only did they move the port 2.5 hrs away but I found the Business class airfare to be $9K!!! Not a good combination. Plus it's only a 4 hour drive to the POM. Guess I'll just have to wait to experience the best AZ has. "=)
  3. We'll be embarking on 1/5 so we appreciate you taking care of her for us. We'll do the same paying it forward.
  4. I use them too. I've been reimbursed for any ATM fees. Concur best exchange rate.
  5. Why wouldn't they since the coffee's are that much as well?
  6. Don, IMO Celebrity started moving away from the traditional cruise once the five year period following the transfer from Chandris expired. Chandris developed/built the excellent traditional cruise experience while RCG and LLP have moved to go cut corners, younger and woke. Remember the ultra loud atrium DJs rocking through multiple decks trying to attract the youngins several years ago?
  7. I just became Elite+ and my first cruise without AI is coming up next week. When you say Specialty coffees are included, Outside of the Elite breakfast, does it include Café al Bacio all day and during meals?
  8. who complained? Maybe you should include other cruise lines in your plans so they want to entice you to return?
  9. It was true when I gambled at the MGM. I raised my bets as the pit boss approached the table and reduced it as he moved on. When I checked my rating later, it showed my average bet was much higher than I usually bet and my table time was much longer than I actually played. Maybe not true in the very small ship casinos but it was in the large casino when I played.
  10. That's what I was told by the rep when I asked if a minimum gamble. Not a penny.
  11. Whenever I've played the table games, I always buy in with a $100 bill. They've had to call the pit boss so I go on the clock immediately. When I color out, I convert back to cash and later buy in with another $100 bill. I also notice when the pit boss is going on break. That's when I leave. I've remained on the clock until he returns and notices I'm gone. That's what I did at land casinos to increase ratings a little. But if they don't know who you are, you don't accumulate time at the table. And as someone else pointed out earlier, always place your room key into the slot/video poker machine when playing cash.
  12. I received a free 7 night Veranda cabin offer in October. I called to see if there was a mistake. Even though I've sailed Celebrity several times since 2016, according to the representative who confirmed it wasn't a mistake, the last time I gambled in one of Celebrity's casino's was 2016. I've got a solo cabin in a couple of weeks with no minimum spending required in the casino. Since I'm a bottom level club member, I have to pay the $145 port/taxes, grats and buy my own liquor outside of the elite happy hour.
  13. That's what I suspected however I thought others with more knowledge could share the blame with the DW if I answered incorrectly. 😄
  14. GeorgiaPeach51, I came up with a question I hope someone can answer. We'll be doing the Splendor L.A. to Miami through the Panama Canal in January. My DW asked if we will be transiting the old or new locks? Does anyone know or can you ask a crew member who might know? Thankx. Steve
  15. @GeorgiaPeach51I want to thank you so much for an excellent cruise report. We've had our first two Regent cruises this year but on their older ships. In January we board the Splendor so I was encouraged by your various posts.
  16. Thank you for alerting us on the new Itineraries. I have been impatiently waiting for them so I could replace a 2023 Venice (not) cruise where the airfare would be $9K. Azamara air did not offer business class. We booked before Venice banned ships so i wasn't happy with a 2.5 hour bus trip to the port either. Thankx to you we were able to transfer our reservation and same category, same nights to the Caribbean December 2024 which is exactly what I was hoping for but at a couple thousand cheaper. We can drive to Miami. Granted it's not the bucket list cruise I wanted, but they moved the goal post, so it dropped off my desire at this time. Whenever I've book at new itinerary releases, I've never been able to get a cheaper price when they throw sales, regardless of the cruise line. The only people who may save later, booked later at higher pricing.
