  1. On our Princess cruise in October we did an a ship excursion that was an exclusive beach day at the all inclusive Hyatt Ziva in Puerto Vallarta. It was the only hotel on that portion of the beach and we did not encounter any vendors. We enjoyed it so much we are hoping to go back to stay for a week.
  2. Hopefully by the time you cruise all will be well in Yelapa. Our friends loved it so much the first time they went, when we suggested a cruise they wanted to do Mexican Riviera again because of Yelapa. We were supposed to do that excursion next week while on a Princess cruise but it was cancelled. A few weeks ago the town had quite a bit of damage due to flooding.
  3. I just received this message via the Cruise Critic digest for the Mexican Riviera forum. "Just a heads-up to folks who might be on a cruise (in the next few weeks) that will be calling at Puerto Vallarta (our winter home). A few days ago there was some major flooding of the Rio Cujale which caused substantial damage to the parts of the city closest to the river. In addition, many smaller villages in the region (such as the popular Yalapa) also suffered extensive damage and/or were virtually wiped out! PV is a resilient community and will quickly bounce-back but the smaller villages will obviously face more difficult challenges. If folks have booked excursions that were to take them to Yalapa, they might want to reconsider their excursion choice (or expect your itinerary to be modified). " Does anyone have more info?
