  1. Were you at the downtown pier or the Point Seraphine pier across the bay from downtown? Your comment must mean you were not allowed to go outside the port gates, is that correct?
  2. Do you know ahead of time which nights Amphora will be open so as to coordinate with specialty reservations?
  3. Thanks so much for your extremely helpful posts @caymancouple And @sb44 you make a great point about the raising of the sails accompanied by Conquest of Paradise providing a great moment to reflect on our blessings, especially after surviving huge challenges. This will be my third time on the yachts and I find them fabulous, but sail away doesn't offer the magic sound of the sails flapping in the wind.
  4. I remember the first time we heard it in 2003 sailing from Athens. Our first impression was how serious and dreary it sounded in contrast to the excitement we were feeling. I agree with your comment, but I know some may not.
  5. Thank you for the excursion list. And most important, Happy Birthday yesterday!
  6. Thanks for the update! Glad you're having such a wonderful time. Did you order your WS departure Covid test ahead of time?
  7. Too late to edit my first comment, but you're right the email does say Oct30, 2022, so I can see why you'd be concerned for your 2023 sailings. Personally I'm assuming the email date was a typo and should have been Oct30, 2021. Everyone I know who received it had sailings from fall 2021 to spring 2022.
  8. Too early to know, but I've heard June 2022 as the current estimate for when travel to/from Australia will be permitted. If that materializes, ships could arrive there for itineraries in fall/winter 2022-23.
  9. We're excited to read your news reports and tips about the sailing. Bon Voyage!
  10. Yes, unless they do a trans-Pacific from Singapore to Seattle. Guess we have to wait and see.
  11. Just got a cancellation email from Royal for my April 26, 2022 booking on Quantum from Honolulu to Vancouver. "Our original plan for Quantum of the Seas was to begin offering sailings departing from Brisbane, Australia beginning October 30, 2022. However, we’ve decided that Quantum of the Seas will remain in Singapore instead. Unfortunately, this means your sailing will be cancelled."
  12. My late husband John had health struggles during the cruise and rested in the cabin a good part of the time. We finally left the ship early in Trapani, the day after Agrigento to get him home. On boarding day I think we had three couples get together and you and I learned we were both retired from AA. Hope all goes well for your flights today.
  13. Thank you for the helpful info, Ginny. Glad to see you and Jack are enjoying lots of cruising. We were together on Wind Surf around Sicily in October 2016. Happy Travels!
  14. Hi Lori and Raul ! I miss you guys. That Black Sea itinerary looks fabulous! My daughter Molly and I are booked on Star Breeze from St. Maarten in three weeks. Our cabin is the normal Oceanview Suite and not a balcony, but a couple on our rollcall have upgraded so I'll get photos of theirs for you. This will be my ninth Windstar and I'm sure you'd be pleased with the product. Six were on the sailing vessels. Our first try of the yachts was 2016. John and I did a Caribbean itinerary on Star Legend and my sister and I did Hong Kong to Bangkok in 2018, again on Legend. I love the oceanvi
