  1. Happy holidays, It was a pleasure to meet you on an unforgettable Norway cruise. Hope that our paths cross again aboard Azamara. Micheline and Luc
  2. The entire cruise schedule for 2021 ( up to February 2022) is available on Azamara.com, we made reservations for 2021 without problem onboard Azamara in July. You should be able to make reservations onboard Celebrity !
  3. I posted the new itinerary on the roll call. We are looking at other options but we may well stay on and modify our plans to visit independently Kyoto and Osaka before the cruise.
  4. Our TA contacted Azamara at my request and sent us this answer. Your Cruise will probably be delayed or shorten as well. If I understand Azamara convoluted message, the dry dock will be prolonged and the following cruises will be delayed. Our TA will ask for a fully detailed itinerary (with departure/arrival dates). No compensation is offered for the modified itinerary and it is not clear to us if the cruise will be shortened or not. For the last 3 reservations made with Azamara, we have had changes of itineraries or dates (Transatlantic 11/19, Suez Canal 11/20 and Japan 4/21). Are we jinxed ? We love the onboard experience and the amazing crews but our patience is running thin with the pré cruise problems. Yes, we know that things happen and that it is not in the near future but it is nevertheless stressful and does not gives a good image of a cruise company that aspire to reach the luxury level... Micheline
  5. Here is the answer! We received this notice today Due to an extension to the Pursuit dry-dock period, we had to adjust the sail dates and itineraries of a few voyages and your upcoming voyage is among those impacted. Your embarkation date has been delayed by four days and is now departing Tokyo on April 11th. In addition, we have modified our port stop in Kobe to be a late-night stay rather than an overnight and are removing Hakodate entirely from the itinerary due to limited dock opportunities. To replace this port, we have added Niigata, Japan, a unique, food-centric city. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope you understand that when planning so far in advance, sometimes circumstances may arise that require us to alter our sailing schedules. Rest assured, any shore excursions purchased for this voyage through Azamara will be refunded to the original form of payment. You can receive more information on new shore excursion opportunities by logging into your Voyage Planner. Also, we understand your travel plans are extremely valuable. To ease any disruptions that may occur, you to choose to cancel, a full refund for amounts paid will also be processed to the original form of payment. Please take some time to consider your options and review your personal calendar. We ask that you inform us of your decision no later than October 24th, 2019. All reservations that are not changed by the specified close date will be ineligible for the compensation offered. Thank you for your understanding. We take great pride in bringing every Azamara guest unforgettable experiences both onboard our ships and within our destinations. We can assure you that your future Azamara vacation will deliver the highest standards of service and quality for which we are known. We look forward to welcoming you on board. Sincerely, Azamara
  6. Any new promotion on Azamara is worth checking. l made a deposit on an single deposit OV for the 11/2020 Pursuit Transatlantic , in July while onboard Journey . Today my TA checked the double upgrade offer and a V1 balcony is $1100 LESS with same OBC and Discoverer plus discount. 😳😜 Shows that making reservations early and onboard is not always the best way. I like to choose my stateroom but I keep my options open and recalculate the best deal with every new gimmick that Azamara comes up with.... Micheline
  7. Your comments are valid in your situation ,in Australia but as a US customer I have never received any booklet from Azamara for one of our cruises. I was not complaining , I just made a suggestion to improve the Azamara experience. Azamara is a great cruise line but small changes could make it even better Micheline
  8. To BBMacLaird, May I suggest that informations about embarking be added to the Boarding Pass ? It would easier to find location of port and pier at the beginning of the cruise. I know it is on the Azamara website but it is well hidden ... Having all the essential informations on the printed Boarding Pass would be a godsend for those of us with limited access to internet and make the trip to the port easier for everybody. Adding an emergency number would be nice too. Thank for your attention, Micheline
  9. We are jumping ship ! We have decide to try C*****l for the Suez Canal Cruise. We are very disappointed that Azamara would sell us a cruise and then , behind our backs, resell it as a charter. We know it happens and it is business ......🤑 We will return to Azamara for the exceptional onboard experience but we give an F to the Miami deciders. Micheline and Luc
  10. We are definitely looking for another cruise. FYI An other Company (starts with C like your good wines glasses) has a cruise from Athens to Dubai at approximately the same time with overnights in Athens,Eilat,Aqaba and Dubai. It is a bit more expensive and formal but more inclusive. (I am not advertising,I have never cruised with them!). we are waiting for our TA to send us an estimate to decide. We love Azamara but the prices seem out of control right now for a cruise to Africa or a Fall Transatlantic that we would like to book . Too bad... We have 3 more reservations on Azamara (Norway,Tahiti and Japan) , lets hope they don’t tinker with those.
  11. Here is the answer! The Azamara Pursuit has been chartered by a private group with sailing dates that are in direct conflict with your voyage. This has required us to adjust the dates and some ports of call on your voyage. We greatly apologize for this disruption, however, when planning so far in advance sometimes circumstances arise that require us to alter our scheduling. This is one of those instances. The good news is that these changes mean you'll enjoy two additional nights at no extra charge. We invite you to embark on a 17-night Egypt, Israel and Jordan Voyage that departs Athens on Saturday, October 24th, 2020. That's just one week later than you originally scheduled departure and you'll still sail aboard the beautiful Azamara Pursuit. Consider the extra two nights a complimentary thank you from Azamara. We won't charge an extra dime. Additionally, you'll enjoy $200 in onboard credit. What's more, this new itinerary happens to call on many of the destinations your original voyage was scheduled to visit. You'll still explore Safaga, Egypt, only now with an unforgettable overnight. You'll also visit Aqaba, Jordan, Salalah, Oman, and pass through the legendary Suez Canal. Better yet, you'll also enjoy two nights in Ashdod, Israel, gateway to the Holy City of Jerusalem. This is a rare opportunity to explore one of the most sacred places on earth, where the world's great faiths intersect and history is found at every turn. It's an addition to your Middle Eastern discovery we hope you'll agree is hard to pass up. Additionally, guests who have booked and paid for Azamara shore excursions will, of course, receive a full refund. The complete 17-night itinerary is detailed below for your convenience. If this new sailing doesn't work for you, we'll also be happy to move you to any other Azamara voyage at the prevailing rate. Any overages will be refunded back to you. If there are additional charges, you simply pay the difference. Or, we'll be happy to place you on an Open Passage which holds your deposit for a future sailing. Either way, you'll receive $100 in onboard credit per booking for your troubles. Of course, your also welcome to cancel your voyage and receive a full refund. However, we hope you'llconsider joining us on a 17-night voyage that's sure to be one for the ages. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause and thank you for your kind understanding. We know this news comes as a surprise. So, please take some time to consider your options and review your personal calendar. We ask that you inform us of your decision no later than March 29, 2019. In the meantime, should you have any questions about this voyage, please call us at your convenience. we have reservations on this cruise and it is ok with us to leave one week later
  12. Just back from Cuba cruise on Azamara Journey and I can assure you that you will enjoy your onboard experience! Confortable room (yes the shower is small but we managed) Attentive crew, excellent food, enjoyable entertainment well organized excursions (some guides better than others) entering and exiting Cuba was a breeze,no long lines and welcoming Cuban authorities.
  13. We choose Smarthotel Oslo for 2 nights pré Cruise. $121/night for a small clean room in a modern centrally located hotel. Nothing special but good enough for us.
