  1. I received cruise credits for myself and my partner from a cancelled cruise last year. I was able to apply mine but my partners is not showing on his account. The NCL agent didn't see them either. I have opened a case and included the email from NCL with the cruise credit that was issued to each of us. It is 2240 dollars that is missing so am anxious to get a replay from them.
  2. We sailed on the Bliss last year and I found the bar in the Buffet by accident. It's on the very end of the Buffet and can't be seen unless you walk all the way back past the food stations.
  3. Yes, you would put it in airplane mode and then connect to the wifi. I have done it many times.
  4. We stayed 3 nights at the Hyatt Place in February 2020 before our cruise. The price was reasonable, the hotel was 1 block from Waikiki Beach and we enjoyed it. I would stay there again.
  5. I received an email from NCL one week after I cancelled with confirmation of the FCC and the refund of all extra charges we paid. Our FCC appeared online the next day and by Monday our credit cards were refunded the additional fees. I did not do anything else after cancelling and submitting the case.
  6. When I tested positive 2 days before my cruise I contacted NCL by phone to cancel the cruise in addition to opening an online case file. I received my refund and FCC within one week. I would recommend contacting them by phone to cancel the cruise. I did receive email confirmation of the cancellation from them after I called to cancel. I also did not purchase insurance from them and I did receive FCC and a refund of all my other purchases.
  7. I have an annual travel policy but I travel a lot If you purchase insurance through the cruise line you will have to file a claim with the insurance company first before getting a refund from NCL. Since I didn't purchase insurance through NCL I was able to get my FCC and refund within a week of filing the case with NCL.
  8. I tested positive for covid before my Alaska cruise last month. I had done a proctored test and decided to also go to a walk in clinic to get another test. I tested positive there also and they provided a letter saying I had to quarantine and could not travel. I then submitted a case to NCL with copies of the positive test and the letter. I had not purchased insurance through NCL so within a week from cancelling the cruise I received FCC for the full amount of the main booking along with a refund for any additional products we ordered such as tax, surcharges, excursions, wifi, etc. The FCC must be used on a cruise that sails within one year.
  9. I tested positive on the Friday before my Sunday cruise. I did start on Paxlovid on Saturday and by Wednesday I tested negative. All antigen tests.
  10. I was scheduled on the Encore to Alaska for the 6/26 sailing. I tested positive for Covid on 6/24. I contacted NCL the day before the sailing to cancel and submitted a case request along with my test results and a letter from a clinic that I couldn't travel. One week later on 7/2 they applied the FCC to my account for the full amount of the booking and refunded to my credit cards all additional purchases such as prepaid service charges, excursions, taxes, etc. The letter did state that since I did not purchase insurance through them I received the FCC instead of a refund. The FCC must be used within one year. I do have my own annual travel policy and I have submitted a request to them for reimbursement of hotel charges for my quarantine. I am very happy about the way it turned out.
  11. We had that happen on one of our cruises. It was either the Baltic cruise or the POA cruise. NCL cancelled my dining reservations, but I was able to book them again. And then they were cancelled again and I booked them again. I had duplicate reservations on my final summary but was able to straighten it all out once I got on the ship. This was pre-covid.
  12. When we went in February 2020, Kona was the only tender port. I don't remember any issues with getting off. Kona was the only place we didn't do a tour or rent a car. Instead we just walked around, shopped and ate lunch before returning to the ship.
  13. I use the sugar free flavored creamers. That's why I usually bring my own supply.
  14. I brought on a baggie of the single serve liquid coffee creamers on my December cruise. No one said anything.
  15. We did mostly car rentals. We rented a car one day in Oahu before our cruise. Then rented a car for both days on Maui and one day on Kauai. On the big island we took an independent tour with Ricky's Tours at Hilo and just walked around Kona. I'm retired from Avis so I get the employee rate of 25.00 a day - so it was an easy choice for us.
  16. I have been on 5 international trips including 1 ocean cruise (the Bliss) and a 16 day river cruise that ended on May 2nd. Have never tested positive for covid. We are leaving in 3 weeks for a 9 day group tour of the Canadian rockies and a week in northern Washington to visit family and friends and then an Alaskan cruise on the Encore. We did catch a cold while on the river cruise but twice tested negative for Covid. I have ordered the free self tests from the government to check for covid in case we get sniffles again on this trip.
