  1. Thanks! Enjoy your cruises and adventures as well.
  2. From my experience, once you move to Penthouses (or Haven Suites on NCL) it is impossible to go back to lower category. We find we use and enjoy our rooms much more and vacation seems more restful and special. We are not yet retired so our 1 or 2 cruises a year really provide our retreat. We love the added space and extra services provided in a Penthouse. I'm actually scared, since for our next cruise we are upgraded to a Vista Suite on Riviera. If we love it I will have to work longer and harder to sustain that lifestyle 🙂
  3. Our experience has always been that we were assigned a single butler for the duration of the trip. On a very rare occasion we were served by another butler, if we requested something and our butler was busy.
  4. They are launching updates to the program. This was in a recent update from Oceania. New Evening Canapé Choices and Elevated Service Levels Canapés served in the lounges and bars after a day of exploring are a much-loved tradition on board Oceania Cruises. The experience now features a wider variety of selections, echoing the gourmet inspiration of the new dishes offered in The Grand Dining Room. The selections will also be presented individually to each table as part of the line's enhanced health and safety measures. Guests in Penthouse, Oceania, Vista, and Owner's Suites
  5. Thanks for the update. Disappointing that we will not be able to prebook for our Nov. 17th sailing until onboard, but appreciate the challenges related to adjusting to COVID situation etc.
  6. Don't expect to keep up with your favorite TV shows. You will be able to stay abreast of international news. The on demand menu was pretty extensive and current, so it was a good option for in room entertainment.
  7. Thanks for the tips about the Tapas and Wine Flights. We will look for that offering.
  8. Thanks! We are planning to do the French Dinner, if available. The menu sounded most appealing to us. Hope to see you onboard.
  9. Thanks so much! You are right, we are in a Vista Suite ( making up for my 60th birthday cruise that got cancelled just as COVID was beginning, and 1 other cancelled cruise as it intensified) So, I was able to book dining very early. I will keep an eye out for the La Reserve a bit further down the line. Thanks for your input. This will only be our 2nd time on Oceania and first time on larger ship, so some offerings are new to us.
  10. Yes, I have looked there. I made final payment today and was able to book my allotted reservations for the specialty restaurants. however, the La Reserve section has no offerings visible.
  11. Does anyone know when reservations for La Reserve are available to book? We are on the November 17 Riviera sailing. Thank you.
  12. We are seasoned cruisers, mainly with NCL, but also Carnival, RCCL and Celebrity. We did one Oceania cruise Christmas 2019 which we had booked planning to visit Cuba. That itinerary was cancelled but we took the offer to switch for Caribbean. We were so happy we did and are now booked for a November Transatlantic, after two cruises being cancelled due to COVID. We learned to enjoy a smaller and more laid back style of cruise. We had worried about having less options for entertainment than on the larger ships, but I learned to relax a bit more, stop at the Coffee Bar for a comp
  13. Thank you delee78 for your helpful response about Cabin 12001. So great to hear. I am not too worried about the balcony wind. That's what hooded sweatshirts are for 🙂
