  1. As you know Lisa we are in Canada and neither of us or any of my friends have received the survey and we have 3 cruises booked starting Sept.
  2. They just showed on CTV news that 29.2% of Canadians have been vaccinated with at least 1 shot so this is encouraging news. I had my Pfizer shot in March with my next one already scheduled for July. We have a huge municipal Covid Centre here where we live and there is lots of people from Ottawa and surrounding that are coming to get their shots. I just walked by the centre today and it is packed with cars which is great news as more people are taking the jabs. I still have 3 brothers one of which is going to be 70, under home care with advanced COPD and he still did not get a shot.....yet
  3. We sail in Sept 2021 on a 45 day cruise so we are very interested to know exactly what protocols will be invoked by then. Final payment June 20.... Not too concerned about our cruises in fall of 2022 at this point...
  4. Voice of reason, fully support all of the above. We feel the very same way.
  5. Wow, we have 5 cruises booked with HAL at the moment, if there is no reversal of policies we are going to cancel our 3 cruises for 2021. As it stands I have a hard time accepting this decision. We just heard tonight of 3 friends that just tested positive for Covid including their children ages from 6 to 17. We are not going to take any chances, not worth it....
  6. Hope she will be ready for our Sept. 19 cruise.... Keeping fingers crossed and remaining optimistic.....
  7. Same rules applies to Canadian booking, you are absolutely correct.
  8. We got them also, for a free Verandah, but I have my doubts that we are going to be sailing then..... Sad, not prepared to pay HAL more money until we know... we already have 3 cruises booked for 2021 to the Baltic and 2 to Sp/Australia and NZ for 2022...... Tempting though....
  9. Thanks for the link, always so enjoyable to hear from Captain Albert.
  10. Thanks Kazu, great recommendation, but unfortunate there is no offer it seems on this journey regardless of how we break it up for B2B. Diane
  11. Thank you so very much for your recommendation, we costed the journey as suggested (34, 35 and 16 days) and no mariner/casino discounts are offered for these itineraries. There is a huge difference if one books under the Advantage offer and foregoes the perks which could be beneficial for friends who do not drink. The pricing for this journey is good till end of Feb. I have already booked the cabin under a hold but will call my PCC to further discuss. Again thank you so much for your suggestions. Diane
  12. Thanks Jacqui, makes sense, we must of been lucky in the past as we always had it. This came as a surprise thought we were doing something wrong.
  13. Interesting new itineraries. Have been trying to book 69 day Australia and 16 days New Zealand voyages for 2022. It seems that our mariner/casino discount is not being provided. I tried without my mariner number and then with it and I get the same price.. Anyone else having this issue or is HAL no longer giving us our casino rates. We also tried travelling friends numbers also and same thing. Also have a question if friends book No advantage rate as they are not interested in the drink package is the deposit paid fully refundable. Any advice would be appreciated. Gloria
  14. I’m truly at a loss reading all these posts and the contradictions and rude statements about Canada and the decision to close the ports to cruising. Folks, this decision impacts us all, the decision was not made lightly, Canada has a responsibility to it’s citizens first and foremost, there is delays in getting vaccines. We are all aware that many people have lost their jobs, their liveliness, businesses are failing, we have in the months of Jan. Over 213,000 additional people on unemployment. Saving lives is paramount to this government. Stop being rude to the Canadians and have a look as
