  1. YOu will have a marvelous time, we did the 34 days South Pacific in 2011 on the Westerdam and just got back from doing the 51 days(Oct-Dec) on the Amsterdam. We had perfect weather, great itin and we redid many of the tours we had done before including Patrick's tour in Bora Bora. We only missed one port which was Alofi Niue and the reason was that the swells in the port were too dangerous, the captain did a Navigational. The only place that it rained was in Papeete but that was fine as we were on a private tour and miraculously every time we stopped to visit something it stopped raining. You picked a great itinerary, we would do it again if the 51 days was offered......

Agree with the above, we never gave permission for HAL to share any of our personal information and today we received the email discussed in this thread so you can just imagine how shock we were as we are leaving on Saturday for our cruises. Only one of us received it and not the other person. Frustrating.....
  3. My pleasure... HAL does not always do something perfect but on that cruise our laundry service was indeed PERFECT, for 2 travelling ladies with various types of clothing we were very impressed. Just make sure to annotate the form with your request, we made notes on top and bottom of the form, they could not miss our laundry wishes.....
  4. Yes they were, all on hangers, except the personal was neatly folded and in the basket. We requested cold wash and hang to dry NO DRYER on the sheet and for the first time ever we were elated with the service. The staff on the Oosterdam did an amazing job, so we are going to request the same on our cruise next month so hope the service will be as good...
  5. It certainly was not wrinkled, there was a crease on our dress pants and blouses. We were very pleased with the service, it was the first time that we had no issues whatsoever with our laundry.. We even sent a note to Guest services to compliment on the service, it was that good....

Our last cruise we did a 48 day on the Oosterdam and requested only cold wash and hang to dry, Our laundry was done without any problems, our clothes came back perfect, we were very happy with the service. We are doing a 51 day next month on the AMSTERDAM and will be requesting the same service, hope we are not going to have any issues as majority of our clothes is HANG TO DRY.....
  7. Hi Marie, friend of mine was able to get the free gratuities added to her booking without loosing anything, she also upgraded her cabin, it was a win win for her but not for us. We still have more than a year to go so we will watch the future promotion and could give up the beverage package as we do not drink enough to justify it if we had to buy it..... One of our previous cruise we gave up the beverage package and both saved $2,600.00 Cdn. So it is something we could consider in the futur. We transferred our bookings to a TA when HAL made a change in transfer policy. Oh well....

We have 2 cruises booked for next year, both includes the Signature beverage package, called our TA yesterday to have the free gratuities and OBC added, at the same time we were going to pay a lot of extra money to change our cabin category and take advantage of the new promotion. We were told if we wanted the new promo we would have to give up the Beverage package. Annoying because HAL would of made an extra $4,000.00...... guess we will wait for the new promotion and see what we can get then. Wonder if we would of continued dealing with our PCC instead of having transferred our bookings to a TA if we would of had the promo added.....
  9. We have 3 cruises booked, but we have not received any free cruise offers since January, we did not take the offers as the timing of these did not coincide with our availabilities....
  10. We are annoyed at this change of booking transfer policy. We presently have 3 bookings with HAL one of which is grandfathered and was booked over 1 year ago for this Oct. We always talk to our PCC to ensure that he gets his commission then we transfer the booking to a TA to get some OBC’s We just recently booked 2 cruises for 2020 with our PCC, guess we will be able to transfer these or just cancel the bookings with HAL and go with the TA. I just don;t understand why HAL never notified us of this change in policy. IF Hal had a online system that was user friendly we could do all the work ourselves as we use to, but their new system is not the best....
  11. Yes Kazu when we booked the tour we requested small group. We did not arrange this Lisbon tour. I understand that they could get up to 16-18 people on a tour. We contacted SDT often to enquire if the tour was a go. I arranged the Mallorca one and we had 10. We’ve also booked numerous tours with this tour provider in the past 6 years and this was not up to their standard. The operator sent us 2 vouchers to take any of their future tours. SDT is a reputable company, we never had issues with them before, thus reason we booked this tour. The company requested feedback from us on numerous occasions and we responded with a fair assessment as a result they sent us this email,,, “Dear Diane, Thank you for your kind email and I hope you have safely returned home. I just wanted to let you know that I have already updated our system with your complimentary fare and you can redeem it ANYTIME in the future- even 5 years from today. If you wish to give it as a present to someone else, please ask them to use your email address as reference when contacting us and we will be happy to pass this offer to them in your name. Thank you very much again and we look forward to the opportunity of being at your service again. Best wishes to you from Spain! Best regards, Joseph” As stated above SDT is a reputable and professional tour operator, we’ve used them extensively in the past and will again, we will just not recommend this particular tour and I support all the statements made by Sonora5. Lots of people were so fed up that they wanted to just return to the ship. Diane
  12. We totally support and agree with the statements made by Sonora5, We were on this tour also and as a matter of fact we were part of the 8 that disembarked together for this tour. There was 2 older ladies travelling with the Bollinger’s who were late getting off the ship to the point that Fran said they may not even go on the tour. They showed up. We are big users of Spain Day tours and this tour was also in our opinion the worst we have ever taken. We also received correspondence from Spain Day about giving them reviews about the tour and reiterated that it was the worst ever. I even used my ship internet to communicate with them. I gave them rave reviews for the Palma de Mallorca tour I took with them but they certainly missed the mark on this one. Upon returning home I received a lot of additional correspondence from Spain Day tours and wrote them a long review. We were also offered free tours of which I will not be using. First of all we had requested small group, it is my understanding that there was more than 1 vehicle doing the tour. I’m glad that certain people got free tours because there was 16-18 people so of course these people are not going to complain because we actually paid for their tour. Fully understandable...... The tour guide was awful, her constant cackling and laughing at nothing was driving us all up a wall, had to remove the ear buds. When we got to Cascais she made us walk to a restaurant and told us we had 45 minutes, the place was packed, we waited for a long time for a table, ended up with a sandwich, there was only 2 toilets in the place (1 for women, other for men) long line-ups to use. We had no time to walk around and visit this town, which would of been a first visit for us, back to the bus we went. The visit to the Palace was another big fiasco. A group of us waited for a very long time by the gift shop for travelling companions to find us as the guide failed to tell certain people where to meet. Several people needed to us the elevator but had not been made aware of it. We had a great cruise, met a lot of very nice people and we did mostly private tours everywhere but this tour was the worst. This was also our 3rd time going to Lisbon and we wanted to do something different. WE DID..... would not recommend this tour..
  13. Already heard for KPitch (Kathy), she told her she booked this cruise, we are seriously going to consider it for 2020 as we had so much fun, love you guys......... you certainly made our cruise so enjoyable........ Diane
