  1. Wow, you guys are placing me a bit more aft than I would figure. If I look at the 6th floor deck plan, I see an white space that is one room to the aft from my cabin. I was thinking that is the decorative bridge that is displayed in Tree-skier's pic. It looks like 6505 is blocked by Ben and Jerry's cow, and my cabin would be maybe be four aft of that? I will have to rethink the room after what you are saying.

  2. Looking to book a cruise on the Freedom of the Seas and thinking of getting a Promenade View Interior. I have seen them from down below and they look kind of fun. For those of you that have made this choice in the past, Is this a bad idea? Do you get much noise? Any particular floor good or bad? Any spot that is good to have a view of? Thank you so much!

  3. How much is the drink of the day on the Island Princess? Special deal if you buy their cup?

Do the bars serve IPA beers?

Any benefits of getting on board early on Embarkation Day?

Best place to be on Embarkation Day?

We have only sailed Royal Caribbean. Will Princess compare?

Are the beds comfortable on the Island Princess? Can I order and extra foam topper if needed?

Do they have a lobster night?

Any place for 70s music or even disco?

Should we bring our own water on board?

Thanks for answering what you can. Going on the Panama cruise from LA.

    Thank you so much!

  4. Can anyone tell me for sure about the new rooms just added 1802 and 1852? These are listed as panoramic oceanview. Is the living room area and the bedroom area divided by a TV in the center? I can't find accurate new pics on here of these specific rooms and also looked at Youtube. Information is conflicting, the RC person says they think it is..."think". Thanks for your thoughts

  5. Has anyone sailed in cabin 6400 on the Liberty or same class? We have the room on hold and from the floor plan, it shows as a big room. However, when you look at the side view of the ship, it looks like there is no extra room and a balcony railing blocking the view. This is an ocean view room. Would like to know if this room is a mistake. Thanks much!

  6. We are cruising for all most a month in the Baltic and the British Isles as well. We have Verizon Samsung S5 phones that will take a SIM card. Will it work in Europe with a SIM card? Can we buy a SIM card in Europe that is good for most of Europe? We assume it will not work in Russia but we were thinking that maybe all of the EU anyway. We are looking for maybe 500 minutes and the ability to call back to the US and maybe to some points in Europe. We are also looking for some data time on the same air card, maybe 3 GB. Ideas?

  7. You don't mention the itineraries of the various cruises you are considering. We did a Baltic cruise on the Seabourn Pride a couple of years ago that included 3 full days docked at the English Embankment in St Petersburg which meant no long drives in big buses as we did a private tour with another couple for all three days. They were 9, 8 and 7 hour days with a guide and a driver.

The bigger ships dock further out from the city.

We cruise mainly for the itineraries now that we are retired and the Baltic has great ports that require at least a full day to see the sights. IMHO St Petersburg needs 3 or more.

Good luck in making your decision and have a great next cruise.

So how do you find a private tour in St Petersburg with a reputable firm? How do you pay them? Do you book them in advance or at dock?

  8. My wife and I are new to Celebrity but are planning back to back cruises. That said, there promo is choose two free items out of four. What is best for the dollar value? Also will this get better if we wait?
