  1. Awesomeness...... The simplicity of a cruise to rest and watch the glaciers pass by, sounds relaxing..... Great idea Now I just have to wait for the 2021 Land/Sea cruises to post, hopefully with perks.....
  2. If this is the case, we may have to fly to Anchorage for a several day visit then fly to Fairbanks to start the Cruisetour.... Santa Clause House must remain on the Itinerary (Happy wife, Happy life)
  3. Waiting for the 2021 land sea offerings, nothing as of yet..... Plenty of cruise only in 2021
  4. I was looking at the Vancouver to Fairbanks cruises (Which seem to be less expensive) and then at the end of the cruise fly from Fairbanks to Anchorage.. One option I checked the train ride is very expensive and looooong
  5. We are planning an Alaska land sea cruise in 2021... I want to start in Anchorage and end in Vancouver with stops in Denali and Fairbanks (My wife really wants to see the Santa Clause House).... We have friends that live close to Anchorage and would like to visit them for a few days before the cruise... I notice that the 2021 land sea Alaska cruises are not listed yet.... Any suggestions would be appreciated.... We want to get freebies and discounted rate if possible... Thank You
  6. New bucket list add on..... Awesome video I hope Holland America dose this one again
  7. I just changed my balcony from mid-ship navigation deck to aft balcony navigation deck. I have heard that the closer you are to the front or back of the ship the more motion you get. Is it worth it for the view and having a cabin that is not located under the Lido Market? Is the motion a big difference from Mid ship to Aft?
  8. I was thinking the same thing..... 🤪 I was able to get a table for 2 from my TA, now I can afford a dozen roses 🌹 lol
  9. I saw a picture of a few beverage package offerings in the Grand dutch cafe on the Nieuw Statendam. The price was $17.95 pp/pd, which comes out to just over $250 for my wife and I. We drink lots of coffee (the dining room coffee tends to be weak) and usually have a soda with dinner, and like to drink bottled water throughout the day. Is it cost effective to pay for this package (we are not alcohol consumers). Also I am unsure if the coffee option is for all coffee bars, more info would be great....... Thank You
  10. Thank you so much for all the comments I have my answer now ... I just called my travel agent and confirmed that my wife and I are going to be sitting at a table for two ... 😋 we may just eat every night in the MDR ...
  11. Can you get CO for $35 pp pd on Nieuw Statendam, we are booked for Mar 2020?
  12. Thank You..... The last time we cruised on HAL was in 2005 on the Oosterdam (still a new ship back then) and I remember trying to get a table for a group of 10 was a challenge, but doable...
  13. Can you get a confirmed table 8 months out from your cruise with the fixed dining option??
