  1. I love Majority Rules! Were you on the Discovery in May? There were 52 teams on our cruise then, and it was laugh out loud the whole time!
  2. Thank you to the people who gave legit replies. I never proclaimed this to be of serious importance; I realize it’s not a catastrophe. It’s just disappointing to them because they’ll never have another honeymoon, and this was something they really wanted to be a part of their honeymoon experience.
  3. When you voice your interest in being on the show to the cruise staff, one of the main questions is “How long have you been married?” I love this game show and watch it on every cruise: The cruise staff have said on many of my cruises that they choose the absolutely newest marrieds. That’s why we thought they’d have a chance.
  4. My sis-in-law and new brother-in-law got married 2 days before boarding the Sapphire for their AK honeymoon cruise. My mother-in-law and I, who are big cruisers, encouraged them to try to get on the Marriage Match game show because we knew they’d give really entertaining answers. Well, they were not chosen. We’d understand if they were simply not chosen; we recognize there are lots of other passengers. It was that the cruise director falsely announced that the newest married couple on the ship had been married 7 years and chose them as a result! My sis-in-law and brother-in-law stayed to watch and said the answers the contestant gave were snoozers. I don’t understand why they’d choose a couple married about 2,550 days longer than them and declare they were the newest married couple on the whole ship!
  5. I’m so glad they’re continuing Antarctica!
  6. I was pleasantly surprised at how well Zoom worked with the new MAX Internet.
  7. I disagree. The previous product was easier on the skin and nice and scent-free for those of us with sensitive skin.
  8. Generally, on Europe cruises, you can tip in Euros, USD, or Pounds (if in British Isles).
  9. I’ve seen buses leave the Captain Cook around 9:30/10:00 AM, but I’m not sure if they were headed to Whittier or Denali.
  10. Princess used to sometimes put comedy shows in the Vista Lounge or Explorers Lounge. Now they just rename the lounge to Laugh Lounge when a comedy act is performing to theme it. It’s a different way of handling the shows, and it adds a few more performances than before. I love seeing comedians onboard!
  11. It’s ultimately up to the captain. Generally, what I’ve found, is that the Royal Class ships allow them as long as you can walk down the stairs yourself, and the older ships (like the Crown) don’t allow them because they don’t have the same style platform that the newer ships have.
  12. I would not risk a departure from BCN before Noon. We flew Business and still had a long line every which way.
  13. If they do self-disembark, they could easily be off by 7:30 AM. If they want to take it a little easy, you could pick them up at 9:00 AM. They really want everyone off by 9:30 or so.
  14. I adore the Filet Mignon and Chilean Sea Bass at Crown Grill!
  15. I had MAX with the Plus Package, and it was nice and fast. I was able to Zoom with it, and there was no lag.
  16. I recommend either using the private car service at the airport, a taxi, or taking the Skytrain. I’ve done all of the above as well as used cruise transport. My favorite for convenience and comfort is the private car service. The cheapest is the Skytrain.
  17. Hubbard Glacier is beautiful. The big ships can’t get too close, but you get close enough to enjoy it. I have heard that the small boat excursion is worthwhile. I’ve been to Hubbard several times and have been satisfied with staying onboard the ship, but if I had an extra several hundred dollars, I’d do the small boat.
  18. When you think about it, the logic is kinda odd. Both Pax 1 and 2 must get it in order to prevent the risk of sharing. Pax 3 and 4, though, don’t have to get it. How are they any less risk if adults?? I wish there was a way they could prevent sharing without forcing both pax to buy the package.
  19. I’m referring to the full Plus package. The drinks package on its own isn’t worth it for me.
  20. I know it used to be that both people in the stateroom had to buy the Plus package, or neither could. I thought I heard recently that there may have been a change to that because not everyone drinks alcohol. Has Princess officially changed the policy to allow an individual to purchase it without the other person in the stateroom buying it?
  21. Is the $15 bag deal valid the entire cruise? Or is it only offered on a certain day? I read the terms you linked (thank you, by the way!), and I can’t tell.
  22. Let’s say I have a full load of laundry needing to be done on the Jubilee. What would be my options? Is there a deal by the bag? If so, is it offered the whole cruise or only on one day? Is there a laundromat? Is it all priced by individual item? If so, what’s the pricing?
  23. Corinne was decent IMO but not wow. I think she’ll be a good fit for Celebrity.
