  1. We are with you on the Panama Canal, from Vancouver! Very excited to cruise the Panama Canal the “whole” way!
  2. I have just over a month to transfer a booking that we can’t use, and we’re hoping for the Baltic area as a replacement.
  3. Just off the Edge today, Captain was/is Costas.
  4. I have in the past….more than 1 cruise… Noticed a neighbour have their balcony light on all night…the next day there was a polite note in their mailbox, asking them to turn off the light when not in use. I agree, many don’t even know they CAN turn it off, as the switch is often hidden behind curtains.
  5. Yes please, bring a book light. Our favourite night time ritual is to be on our balcony listening to the water & star gazing. When a neighbour has their balcony light on, it really ruins the ambiance.
  6. We buy our travel ins from our home & vehicle ins. provider. 🇨🇦🇨🇦
  7. On our longer cruises, after the first 7 days, the menus were repeats…although I’m not sure if they started again at day 1or if they were in original order.
  8. I read somewhere..John Heald maybe, the complimentary cakes for celebrations (birthday/anniversary & such), are a thing of the past. Now if you like, they can add candles to your regular dessert.
  9. Hmmm, what if I don’t order an appetizer?….can I trade an appetizer for a desert? 😜 The suggestion to share with hubby…is a great idea, but he’s diabetic (NO sweet things & doesn’t like cheesecake).
  10. I’ve read great reviews about the Steak House chocolate cake and the cheesecake. Can I get both?
  11. All staterooms have a mini fridge…but it doesn’t get very cold, more like a mini cooler…so much so, that if u need to keep meds cool/cold, it’s recommended to store them in the medical fridge.
  12. Hi, we just booked our first Royal cruise (but not first cruise in general). Does the Radiance of the Seas, evening shows require us to pre-reserve…or it’s is arrive & find a seat?
  13. My Australian & NZ cruises (booked with USA Carnival TA), didn’t give me the option to pre-pay tips (other cruise destinations can be pre-paid). Is it still “suggested” to tip approx. $13 pp per day, whether it’s cash or from onboard account..or is that not standard practice for these sailings?
  14. Yep, I left the neighbours a note.
  15. Hi, we are on your sailing too! We agree, the non-proctor testing sure leaves the door open for fraud…..but it sure makes it easy for us to do a free home test.
  16. In Canada..I’ve been looking for listing for this show. I can’t find it, any Canadian having any luck watching this?
  17. They will not allow “surge protected” of any kind. A basic multi plug will be fine. We always travel with one of these…they also make ones with USB plugs built in too.
  18. NO, it’s the kind that u must drink if you are diabetic.
  19. I’m with u there. Last month I called out 2 guys trying to cut to front of the line at airport check in…(when I was 2nd in line at that point)…sent them to the back of the veeeerrrry long line. Told them to talk to the agent at the boarding pass printing machine. I don’t/won’t put up with that anymore. For pool side chairs, put their stuff on the ground/take it to the towel counter staff (if u know it’s been abandoned for 30 min ish), & take the chair to another spot.
  20. My last Celebrity cruise, I was offered GF muffins in the am @ the MDR. They were soooo yummy, I had them every day…I couldn’t say what flavour they were (the same every day & not a BIG muffin, but bigger than a 2 bite sized)…maybe a vanilla cinnamon muffin?
  21. I don’t think that there is a specific “GF menu “. I always pre order my next evening meal in the MDR. Your waiter will make notes if any item needs to be tweaked for you, & will mention if a menu item can’t be made GF, I found the waiters to be very knowledgeable for GF dining.
  22. Anyone have info on this? What will they be working on? I’ve read that she’s not in her best looking shape?
