  1. Booked ours with local travel agency Sent from my iPad using Forums
  2. We got off Royal Clipper yesterday, once you pay your bill in Tropical Bar they return your passports, you can then leave the ship. The luggage was left outside cabin night before and collected ashore in Venice. Sent from my iPad using Forums
  3. Kittloveswater whilst we don't want to join your trip (sorry) here is a hello [emoji113]🏻 from shipmates! Not long now before the trip, we are having 3 nights in Rome prior to the cruise And two in Venice at the end. This 'board' is usually quiet but I'm sure they will be many on board! Sent from my iPad using Forums
  4. We saw you sail past when we were on the beach at Porto do Mos (Algarve nr. portimao) on Tuesday! Looking forward to our trip in June Rome to Venice! Sent from my iPad using Forums
  5. You can buy your cosmetic lotions and potions 'airside' and then their is no problem. I'm travelling tomorrow to Portugal and have already pre-ordered liquid baby food and sun cream to be picked up at the pharmacy airside at London Luton. Already paid for just go to check out to collect. Simples!
  6. We (europeans) don't generally wear sports trainer type shoes unless actually going to the gym but that doesn't mean you can't wear them! I would say that city destinations will find men wearing long trousers (pants) but in holiday resorts i.e. Palma you would find men wearing shorts and T shirt or polo shirts. If you go into restaurants in the evening I would expect the men to be wearing long trousers and a shirt with short sleeves i.e with a collar, but not a polo.
  7. Guess it depends on whether you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. I don't think young people in that category would be prepared to take the risk. I live in Europe - I don't consider myself any more risk or terrorist attack than anywhere else in the world ;)!
  8. When my husband retired we did a Star Clippers B2B Istanbull to Athens. Next year I will be 60 and we are returning to Star Clippers on Royal Clipper Rome to Venice having 3 nights in Rome to start and 2 in Venice at the end. Star Clippers are just the best for a celebration!
  9. UK travellers are advised my the Government to avoid Florida, many travel agents are now offering change of destination for those affected.
  10. Many UK Travel Companies are offering destination changes to booked holidays if this Zika Virus might affect your decision to travel.
  11. We have a home in Portugal and it is necessary to carry photo id i.e. your Passport at all times.
  12. We used to use them regularly to France when we had our house there and their was no alternative. They are Strict - stick to the size - or find another airline! They are good when there are no problems, if there are problems, i.e. strikes by air traffic control , they are not always as helpful as they might be.
  13. Sorry can't help! I'm sure that someone will be able to though....
  14. I wouldn't do it. I would be thinking I looked ridiculous, but if you are happy to, carry on, but don't be upset with what other people think! By asking the question maybe you aren't so confident with the idea?
  15. It looks good, but I don't think I can persuade my other half to take the looong flight! I shall have to work on him .....
