  1. We were on the transatlantic last October and used Spain Day Tours for Tenerife and Cartegena. Our tours were fantastic and not nearly as expensive as doing the tour through Celebrity. We had an active roll call on Cruise Critic and through that the trips with Spain Day Tours were coordinated and booked. I highly recommend Spain Day Tours!
  2. We're on Sea in a few weeks. Hope they have this menu at Chef's Table. Yummy!
  3. Thanks for posting this info. It's helpful to know where and when our free time in Berlin will be.
  4. This is good to hear since we are staying at the Doubletree Orlando airport and planning to use Cortran to get to and from Port Canaveral.
  5. Happy to share my wonderful experience with Spain Day Tours!
  6. It's a long day but well worth it! Our ship (Celebrity Reflection) was in Malaga so Spain Day tours met us (there were about 4 vans full of about 12-15 people each from our ship). Each van had a tour guide as well as a driver. We drove through Malaga to Alhambra (about and hour and a half to two hours). At Alhambra each group was met by an individual tour guide specifically for Alhambra who took us through Alhambra. It was nice being in a small group. After the tour, we had time to grab a quick lunch at Alhambra and then we got back on the van to drive back to Malaga in plenty of time before the ship was scheduled to leave the port. Our van driver and tour guide were great! Lots of stories, history, and info about the areas we were driving through. Our tour guide at Alhambra was excellent too. Very informative, personable. Alhambra is definitely a must see-well worth the money.
  7. We used Spain Day Tours last October for 4 separate tours during our cruise( Barcelona, Malaga, Alhambra, and Tenerife). Each tour was absolutely fantastic! Also their communication before the cruise was top notch. I highly recommend Spain Day Tours.
  8. Praying for the passengers, crew, and first responders. Sounds like Viking is handling this as well as possible. We will be on Viking Sea's Homelands cruise next month and I have absolutely no second thoughts of going on our cruise. Viking is top notch and I know their crew is well trained and dedicated.
  9. We used Italy Tours (italytours.eu) for our few days in Rome for our transatlantic cruise in October. Highly recommend them!
  10. If I can't go on a cruise, the next best thing is a cruise with Chicago Paul. Looking forward to "cruising" with you again.
  11. We were in 1014 on Reflection on the Transatlantic last October. Except for the one day the ship was really rocking and rolling (even the water was sloshing out of the pools), never felt any movement other than the normal movement of the ship. I think your room is more in the middle of the ship than ours was so you shouldn't feel too much movement.
  12. Loved the skillet cookie but also loved the apple crumble dessert. My husband said the carrot cake was the best he's ever had and he is a carrot cake snob 🙂 i loved the grilled veggies, the lamb chops, and the filet. i agree with what others have said-flatbread is good but fills you up so you can't enjoy the grilled items and the yummy desserts.
  13. Another vote for RomeCabs. We used them to take us from Rome, where we spent 3 days pre-cruise, to the port for our transatlantic Celebrity cruse in October. We had three pick ups that we had prearranged with other cruise critic members on our cruise. All communications with RomeCabs prior to our cruise was prompt and helpful Our driver from Rome to the port was wonderful especially navigating the very narrow central Rome streets.
  14. Good Point. I don't mind paying a deposit but thousands 1-2 years out is hard to do. Btw, I grew up in Tucson and my family still lives there near Ventana Canyon 🙂
  15. Just starting to explore a possible Australia and New Zealand cruise for 2020. All your posts are so helpful since i have the same questions as you all..which line and which itinerary. I'm leaning towards Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, and Viking since we have sailed on all these cruise lines previously. I'd love to do Viking but they require all the money so far in advance. Hmm...decisions, decisions...
