  1. RCL Aficionado's: My wife and I are discussing a TransPacific cruise April '23. We particularly like the itinerary with stops in New Zealand and Tahiti. However we are retired (61,62) and have been looking at other cruises as well during the same timeframe. And I know not even in the same league but she has interest in a Viking Ocean cruise I explained that type of cruise is more destination oriented with less onboard activities. When I showed her videos of the ship her response was that it was too baroque and that she would have no interest in North Star (gimmicky) Ripcord Fly, Bumper Cars etc... As a sidebar we did the NCL Bliss 14 day Panama cruise and she did enjoy that ship so hopefully Ovation will stand the test. I think she is sold on the Ovation but 18 days (11 sea days) can she be happy? Will we be sane by the time the ship reaches Honolulu LOL. Last thing I ant to hear is "honey we never should've booked this cruise" Any feedback would be appreciated, Ron
  2. Agreed, you can fill in the card yourself and laminate it and voila you are ready for your cruise. LOL
  3. Ive been on the Bliss (PC) and sailed the Majestic sister Regal being they are both Royal Class ships. If I had to pick it would be the Bliss. I think you'll have more fun on the Bliss, the layout of the ship is very conducive for a Mexico cruise, I especially enjoyed the waterfront and the Observation Lounge.
  4. What a shame, now waiting for the email stating that a Delta booster shot needed before you board.
  5. "At the end of the day, cruise ships have motors, propellers and rudders, and God forbid we can't operate in the state of Florida for whatever reason, then there are other states that we do operate from, and we can operate from the Caribbean for a ship that otherwise would have gone to Florida" - Frank Del Rio
  6. My advice is don't. I thought for sure princess would've had her beached in Turkey.
  7. The only thing I know for sure is it has really felt like a long Norwegian winter........
  8. Please tell me how you or the cruiseline will determine if anyones credentials are real or fake?
  9. Also, please know Emerald way forward cabins are very nice and private with large balconies.
  10. Like most other guys I enjoy a cigar and a brandy in the evening hours. Just thinking about Churchill's and the tight sitting in this small room. I can imagine cutting a hole through my mask to accommodate my cigar...LOL

  12. There was just a study released by the NIH stating the effectiveness and effects from mask wearing. If you google you will find it and find out that the mask is not effective RE: Covid. Hopefully the study will give government and business sufficient reason not to enforce.
  13. She's a real beauty enjoy.
  14. Dave, your feeling the good vibes from the west coast brother......all a good sign.
  15. LOL Farmer I've always been amazed that the people who label themselves tolerant always seem to extrude the exact opposite behavior. I respect you for for having the gumption and fortitude to stand for your beliefs.
  16. You know what I'm thinking, Princess will start their first cruises of the US from California. Possibly CA coastal to start, with only stops in California.
  17. So it's selfish for me to have an opinion, selfish of me not to roll up my sleeve every time the government says we need to inject a serum for a virus that is 98% survivable. I thought it was my body my choice and you have a problem with that? I find it interesting that almost 30-35% of health officials have refused to take the vaccine up to this point, what do they know that we don't? You know where this headed right, vaccine passports for travel, to go to the market, to see a movie at a theatre, to go shopping at a mall........
  18. God gave you an immune system right? If your healthy and no underlying health issues why would I need an injection that makes me sick to prevent me from getting sick. Again if you trust what's in the serum then go for it, me I am going to wait because I believe there will be long term health consequences.
  19. Hmmm no side effects as the vaccine now as the vaccine population is still young. But what happens years from now as people start to develop unexplained chronic illnesses, I'm sure scientists and researchers will look back upon this time and wonder why people were so anxious to inject themselves with a vaccine that literally only took 6 months to get to market. Me i'm waiting on the sidelines until we know more. The Spanish Flu petered out only after 2 years and w/o any vaccines.
