Bringing this back up in the queue because I, too, want to know if I have to haul around the freestyle cup or if I can just get a soda at the bar.

And specialty coffees in the Windjammer and Cafe Promenade only?  What about MDR?

Hopefully someone helps us out, I really don't want to be cleaning my kids cups every day too. I have seen cafe promenades menu but really hoping there are more locations with speciality coffee.

  2. Have the Deluxe beverage package and have a few questions.

Is there speciality coffee in the windjammer on Wonder of the Seas?

Is there specialty coffee in Park Cafe?

I saw that cafe promenade has specialty coffee but was hoping it was also available on a higher desk.

Question on the coca cola freestyle cup...if you forget the cup in ur room can u still get a soda from a nearby bar or do we have to carry the cup around everywhere?

  3. We will be docked at port Le Spezia in Mid October and would like to explore Cinque Terre for a few hours (not the whole day). Our family has a 9mo baby and prefer to avoid the train (keep reading its very crowded and packed in).

Can someone walk me through how the ferry works. I do not see a schedule for October posted yet.

What is the best (and easiest to get to)villages in cinque terre to explore with a Baby. Only looking to explore 1 or 2.

Does the ferry operate round trip from La Spezia?  Was hoping we could board mid morning..go to 1 village for 1 or 2 hours and have lunch...walk or take ferry to another village for another hour or so and then take the ferry back to La Spezia.

Is it easy to get from la spezia cruise ship (RCCL Wonder of the seas) to the ferry?

Any other tips to make it more enjoyable and less stressful are helpful. We have full day rome and naples private tours the following 2 days.

  4. I just got my FCC and I'm confused. There was 4 people in our sailing (and they are listed under the "presented to"). Is the Future cruise credit $ amount listed the amount each person will get or if that the total amount (then we need to divide it by each person?)

  5. We had a med cruise booked for mid March. I called the week before (the day the dept. Of state said not to travel to italy) it was announced to be officially cancelled and had our TA ask to move our cruise to a later date (I read people here and on fb were successful moving their cruise with no penalty) msc let us move the cruise to October med and said they would transfer the money within 3 days. In June I would have to pay the difference at final payment. 3 days later I had a full refund in my bank account 🙃. I know I am very fortunate in this situation. Now fighting with swiss airlines is a different story. They have yet to refund me from march when they cancelled our flighrs and says they have no idea when they can 🙁

Wow. My agent is off today but she cancelled and rebooked ours on tuesday after msc told thrir agency we could cancel and rebook. Yesterday she said she was still waiting for msc to transfer the money (msc said it takes 48 hours) now im super nervous. You need to fight this.

update on my situation. My TA called MSC today and they still are waiting for accounting to move my money over to the new booking (since tuesday). They said their accounting is backed up.

I had re-booked the same cruise for next year (i.e., transatlantic repositioning, leaving from Miami), so was 1 year forward.  MSC had approved it when originally re-booked.  Figured that gave lots of time for the COVID-19 situation to resolve.

Oh wow. Pls keep us updated on how this turns out. Ill report back tomorrow about what msc says about our cruise.

Similar situation.  Travel agent said the change over was accepted by MSC and was waiting for the charges to be applied the the new balance and then they would bill for the difference.  Then got the call that the re-booking was disallowed.  Our travel agent is fighting this and has dates and times of calls with MSC and name of csr who approved, etc.  Waiting to see if they re-honor the re-booking or if we are screwed.

    When did you rebook for?

Yes, it happened this morning.  We had already rescheduled and been given a new cabin # on new cruise next year - 2021 (with an increase in cost of +40% from original booking).  That re-booking happened about 3 days ago.  Today we found out that MSC had changed their minds via our travel agent.

MSC Cruises has reneged on their offer to reschedule cruises to Italy!

In late February an e-mail was sent out by Ken Muskat, EVP and COO of MSC Cruises USA allowing travel agents to postpone and re-book cruises due to COVID-19. We are now informed by our travel agent that MSC has changed their mind and is not honoring these postponements / re-bookings.

After working with our travel agent to reschedule our cruise and then cancelling all our travel arrangements surrounding the original cruise, we are now faced with not even being able to get to the ship if we wanted to!

    Totally untrustworthy!

    Wait....whattt? This happened today?

  11. I was able to cancel our march cruise and the cruise line applied what i had paid for the march cruise to the new booking. I still owe a little more money now by the PIF date this summer.

We had bought some cheap trip insurance on the old cruise that didnt include much. I need better insurance for our October Cruise.

Will I now be eligible to buy insurance in the next 14 days that has "cancel for any reason" since its a new booking? I am confused because it says you can add "cancel for any reason" within 14 days of deposit. Does this count even though the cruiseline is moving money over from a cancelled cruise? I'm not paying anything right now out of pocket until the PIF date.

Does anyone know what will happen to the remainder of the funds if you choose a cruise that is less expensive than the one you canceled?  Does that translate to OBC (refundable or not), do you just lose it, cash refund (I know, Im dreaming)?

Trying to decide if we want to ask for the credit or just take the hit and lose the deposit.  I'm guessing the cruise has to be completed in 12 months time, not simply booked or even embarked.  That may cause a slight issue for us using the credit.

can only speak for my situation but it has to be a cruise same price or higher. hope that helps
