  1. I haven't seen the D+ BOGO in my planner. Did Royal do away with that and replace with something else
  2. Another gimmick. Kids sail free but 1st and 2nd passenger pay the price, along with the increase in prices on the private islands
  3. Somebody has to pay for all the updates and as long as people keep paying the prices will increase. When I get to Coco Cay I will just get off (maybe) to look around and go back to the ship and enjoy the quiet. Not much of a beach person anyway
  4. I would like some information from a D+ cruiser. I will be sailing solo in the future and wonder if you have to book through Royal to get the 150% price and also what other perks are there for sailing solo
  5. We will be doing a partial canal cruise in May on the Carnival Sunrise from New York. Last time we did this was back in 2002 and can't wait to see how much it has changed with the new canal and bridge.
  6. That bill seems very high. Besides all the other things you mentioned did you gamble? The pre-purchase charge would have been charged when you placed your order and not when onboard. I would have gone over that invoice before I left the ship.
  7. Since we prefer not to fly we cruise from NJ or NY and sometimes Baltimore. We love Royal and it doesn't matter where the ship goes if we get a good price. Now with that said we are cruising the Carnival Sunrise next May from NY doing a 14 night partial canal (Atlantic side), Costa Rica, Grand Cayman and private island. Then in Oct 2019 we are booked on the NCL Dawn doing a 14-night southern from NY going to the ABC islands plus some others. We just could not pass up those itineraries and I wonder why Royal can't do something like that from Bayonne or Baltimore.
  8. We had cabin 2341 last year on the Sunshine and I think 2 scooters will fit and be able to turn around. This is an OV accessible and has 2 nice windows and a sofa. The door is extra wide and there is a long hallway when you enter. I don't know how to upload photos, but if you would email me at amv1321 at verizon dot net I can send them to you. If you can get this room I would grab it. The cabin is located aft on deck 2 (check the deck plan) Theresa
  9. Yep when working you have the money and not the time; being retired you have the time and not the money. Life is funny that way
  10. That may be but there is a fantastic itinerary next May to the Panama Canal. The ship will be getting a new makeover making her a old new ship.
  11. Carnival has some nice Journey cruise itineraries. There is one next May from NY round trip doing a partial Panama Canal. So for folks like us who don't want to fly this is perfect. The Carnival Pride out of Baltimore is doing most of these ports on Journey cruises.
