  1. I don't know how everyone gets all of these offers. We only have cheers and the internet. The cheers comes out to over $20 per person per day. We don't drink a lot so that is not a great incentive. I don't know if it matters but we are both Diamond. Guess Carnival doesn't have to try too hard to get our business. We've never gotten an upgrade, free or for a fee, either. I wonder what we're doing wrong.
  2. We are not vaccinated and don't plan to be. We have been going out and about since mid summer, 2020. We have gone to Disney and Sea World numerous times and there was no vaccine in the beginning and still no requirement. We have been going out to eat at inside venues for months as well. People get vaccinated to protect themselves and not their families, friends or neighbors. Vaccinated people can still get Covid but it should be milder. Vaccinated people can still transmit the virus to others. If people believe that the vaccines work, there should be no fear ab
  3. I think that Carnival will move at least a few of their ships to the Caribbean. Since they will not be sailing from the US, they won't need to do test cruises so that will save money. Since only a few ships will be sailing I think they will be filled to whatever capacity is agreed upon. They won't be trying to fill all their ships and there are plenty of people that will fly to Nassau or wherever. Not needing vaccines is a big plus for us but it also might limit those that won't sail because of that. I assume that those cruises would be filled to the limited capacity as soon as bookings
  4. As far as I know and have been told numerous times, although the final payment can be extended, the penalty date stays the same. So, if you don't make final payment on the regular due date, but cancel before the extended date, you still will have a penalty with deposits. Obviously, this is if you cancel and not Carnival. Then it is no problem.
  5. I would like a copy of this too, if anyone is still monitoring this. glmattie@hotmail.com
  6. We did a B2B on the Freedom in 2007 and it was super easy. We received our new Sign and Sail cards the night before and we could come and go as we pleased. Since we were in Europe we did not have to go through customs between cruises because we would have to do that at the airport when we finally left Europe.
  7. We used both of our 25th Milestone benefits on our 25th cruise and it was already booked. You don't add it on until closer to sailing and won't see the OBC until about 2 days prior to sailing.
  8. Since NCL just cancelled through the end of March, I expect Carnival, Royal and MSC to follow. NCL was usually the first to announce the cancellations. I just wish Carnival would announce what it was doing with Europe 2021, but I already booked summer, 2022 in Europe as a hedge.
  9. The summer, 2020 European cruises came out in December, 2018. Who knows what will happen for 2022.
  10. We've been Diamond since the beginning. We have never purchased Cheers but have a few drinks. We gamble a little but have never received a free or discounted cruise. We do have cruises booked for next year. We have never received a free upgrade or even an upsell. Apparently we are not on the right lists. Oh well, at least we are still cruising - well maybe. Looking forward to the Mardi Gras inaugural. If that happens.
  11. Was the penalty period extended too or just the final payment date? I thought Carnival still kept the original cancellation policy even if the final payment was extended.
  12. It's still November 8 but it depends if you have a non-refundable deposit or not. If it's non-refundable, then you would lose the deposit if you cancel any time after booking.
  13. Carnival shortened the time for online check in to 45 days prior to sailing. The final payment date has not changed.
