  1. Brand new iPhone 13. Loaded app when phone was activated a week ago yesterday. Had problems and saw updates were made 2 days ago. Deleted app. Loaded new one this a.m. Works better but still having issues.. hate this new "service"...
  2. When the 2022WC was cancelled a few months ago, Princess offered to move guests to the '24WC at the same price they had paid for the '22WC. We passed as after 2 WC cancellations; we figure 3rd time is the charm ~ counting on '23. If the 3rd one is cancelled; we're moving on to something else..
  3. I know most people say "no" but we have re-fared several times after final payment. In one case, we got OBC and another a refund to our CC. Granted, this was 3 years ago+ and don't expect anyone to cut us any slack at this point. Our TA has gone to bat for us more times than I can count!
  4. You will love your balcony cabin. We always take one aft as we did for our TA from Barcelona a few years ago. We do sit outside unless it rains or there is a very strong breeze. Enjoy!
  5. Agreed. The loyalty OBC is minimal (all things considered but I hate that they took away the free minutes as I rarely use more than was accorded to us for free. And; don't get me started on the priority boarding ~ what the heck? New benefits? More like diminished benefits....
  6. I got the e-mail a few hours ago but my husband has yet to receive his. Losing benefits on top of the huge price increases in our upcoming cruises is starting to wear thin (not the words I'd like to use..) A 22% increase in a cruise to Greenland and we lost $540 in OBC and I more than that for a world cruise. I hate to see an e-mail from Princess in my inbox any more....
  7. Too many to list and certainly depends on the type of things you like to do. I used to live in NYC many years ago and always acted like a tourist in my own back yard. Now, I only visit every year or so (pre - pandemic) but some favorites are walking the Highline; Brooklyn Bridge; DUMBO and museums nights that are free. Here's a tip: Google "Free and Cheap things in NY". There is a treasure trove out there to cull through. I actually bought a small paperback a decade ago by the same (or similar name) that I'd tuck in my suitcase every time I went. Enjoy ~ love that city!
  8. For us; it's more the destination than the ship. I've been on both several times and each ship has its' strengths/weaknesses. We're huge fans of Grand Cayman and generally rent a car to get out to "starfish" beach and Rum Cay. There's great diving and snorkeling there, too. We've done both of those cruises and would enjoy either depending on what your family is looking to do. We've done great excursions on both (independent touring) and have found some great places. Enjoy ~ no matter what you choose.
  9. I was just able to login with no issue. Hadn't been on for the last month or so but no problems. My password was updated a little more than a year ago & it still works.
  10. Just heard while on vacation.💔 Loved that guys in all the roles mentioned above.
  11. Have never received one. Have 2 WC's booked and still have FCC's in our accounts. TA didn't let us know which is a dissapointment...
  12. Oh my. Glad to have booked world cruise(s) before this change. That's a considerable chunk of change and not looking for any more FCC's if they don't go....
  13. I tried a few months ago. No dice. Unfortunately; when things were looking extremely bleak, I cashed in 6 FCD's and couldn't get them reinstated. My mistake...
  14. Crown Grille. Make sure to make the notation on your cruise that you are having a special event. You generally get a cake & they may sing to you at the table. Not sure how things will be handled since COVID reared its' ugly head. Hope it goes!
  15. Ours went up about double that for the same cabin category & I think we got less perks than we had on the 2021WC. Thinking 2022 won't happen and paid about the same for 2023 than 2022 with many more perks..
  16. Wow. Hadn't known that. I wish that was a bright spot but miffed that we didn't get to go. Now 2022 looks to be in jeopardy. Oh well...2023; here we come...
  17. And where are the food pavilions and tiny beach shacks that you can rent?? Oh...and the lines of people waiting to get on the tenders to return to the ship??
  18. Makes sense to me. I am a huge trip planner and we road-tripped all summer 2020 while maintaining the quarantine requirements in all locales and still getting to spend 3 months on the road. Road trip around FL when we can and have plans to finally get on a flight in mid-May to get to Utah to road trip for another two months before heading back to upstate NY (home turf). We are both fully vaccinated; still wear masks & social distance. We should be on the 2021WC right now; booked for the 2022 and 2023WC's respectively. We want to cruise and will book when we know we can safely get out of here. Expect they will start with Caribbean cruises from FLL and I'm happy to get on board...
  19. Fully vaccinated for two weeks. Looking to cruise. Live in Florida. Good luck to anyone who thinks we'll get out of here anytime soon.....
  20. We've also had our two doses of Pfizer with no side effects other than a slightly sore arm. It's been two weeks today so we are considered "fully vaccinated". We still wear masks in public as it is required in our area and think it's a good practice just to ensure everyone's safety. That being said; we are flying on a plane for the 1st time in well over a year when we board in mid-May to head out to Utah. Hoping that everyone else looking for a vaccine gets one soon and that we can slowly get back to a new normal.
  21. Sad. Was just reading updates on CC & saw your post. Only cruise booked for 2021 was the WC that would have departed in January. Not even sure at this point that the 2022WC will go. Never thought this would go on for so long...
  22. I would. Had my shots and can get to a port fairly easily in fL.
  23. There are only the 3 offerings for now. They started with the two 111 day offerings FLL/FLL & LA/LA and after a few hours offered the 97 day LA/FLL. Many of us booked as a backup for the 2022 WC.
  24. Sigh....while not surprised it certainly can be a game changer for a WC. Hate to spend so much just to "float" around the world without getting off. Not a fan of cruise ship tours & almost always skip the ship sponsored tours for DIY. Masks not a problem after a year of mask wearing but would only consider the new requirements on short Caribbean cruises to nowhere just to be out to sea again...
